I feel that the Movie Studios and Distributers would stand to gain more money if they stop splitting up the Market.
They should stop selling everything piece-meal and just go for 1 unified set. - Game of Thrones: Season 2 and - Revolution: Season 1 are the correct way to be selling Movies/T.V. Shows now. Include the Blu-Ray, DVD, Download Code and the 3D Disk in one package. It should theoretically reduce the price of the Movie/T.V. Show as there will be less time spent on coming up with different Art and Cases. What do you all think? |

Personally I don't want all the other stuff that comes with the blu-ray package (DVD, digital, etc). I can make my own digital copy if I want to.
Forcing people to buy a more expensive set because it's all that's available will just make them just spend less on other things or wait for a bargain bin price drop. I imported GoT from the UK because of that. |

I don't use the DVDs, but I like the idea of having one product offering. I feel this is a great way to encourage people to make the jump up to Blu-ray if they haven't done so yet. Once Blu-ray has a very healthy lead in market share, phase out the DVD copies.
