Jin-Roh is getting a re-release on BD next year by Discotek so you'll want to sell it before that's released as the value on the Bandai Visual set will tank. I don't know how much it's selling for now though.
Are you serious? I have the DVD and missed out on Bandai's release. I might get it on BD if its a better release than my DVD which it problebly will be.

I also would like Nadia but I have both volumes and all the OSTs that ADV did so I wonder if it will be a better release. Love to buy the LD collection more though

Anyone else think the Anime Artboxes thread should be moved to this subforum? Here's the thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=225102

Also, as far as Sentai's March slate is concerned... just Nadia for me. I'd buy their Mardock Scramble Blu-rays, but the Japanese boxes look too attractive... will probably pick them up before the year's out.

Discotek announced some new licenses for next year on their Facebook today but they're all DVD only:

DNA 2 complete series
Dragon Half OVA
Fatal Fury OVAs
Lupin the 3rd Bye Bye Liberty Crisis

Yep, it was announced back in July. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...5312297&type=1

I've not checked everything in the extras, but they are 16:9. It's often newer interviews and stuff, which don't seem to be stretched. Some drawing gallerys which also seem to have been made in 16:9. But any video footage of the show used in these extras seems to be cropped, rather than stretched. The clean OP and ED are definitely stretched.

My copy of Akira shipped today from FamilyVideo.com!

For anyone that shops on FamilyVideo often, do you know what "Item Accepted" means in the following list of items on my order?

Quote:
PRODUCTS:

1 X Wolf Children Ame and Yuki Blu-ray/DVD (704400092428) at $16.99
Status: Coming Soon

1 X Royal Space Force - The Wings of Honneamise Blu-ray Disc (814131013149) at $21.99
Status: Item Accepted

1 X Akira Blu-ray/DVD (704400094187) at $18.99
Status: Shipped
My copy of Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnęamise still hasn't shipped, and they've told me twice it's on back order, even though the site lists it as in stock. "Item Accepted" better not mean they think they shipped it and I've received it.

Eleven Arts and FUNimation Entertainment announced on Monday that they will screen the Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo film in theaters across the United States and Canada in January 2014. The companies note that they will screen the film "in major cities throughout the U.S. and Canada." Additionally, most of the screenings will feature the film's English dub, but some theaters will screen the film in Japanese with English subtitles. Eleven Arts will announce cities and dates within the next few weeks.

Funimation had announced that it had licensed the film when its Facebook page had hit 1 million likes in June. The company has already revealed the film's English dub cast.

The third film in Hideaki Anno's four-part remake of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series earned more than 5.1 billion yen during its theater run. While the first film hewed closely to the original television series, the second film went in a different direction, and the third film went still further in its own storyline.

Looking back at this question I asked. I can now answer it myself having just seen the 25 episodes in 2 nights.

It's a fantastic show, there wasn't much I didn't like (apart from the
[Show spoiler]"incest"
plot). Aincrad was obviously the highlight of the show, there were parts of it that were incredibly sad and hugely exciting. Those duel wielding hyper attacks were amazing.

Fairy Dance wasn't as good, but I still thought it was really fun. It reminded me quite a lot of Zelda, so I instantly took a like to it. Yui is just too damn cute throughout.

I'm glad the ending was as it was and I'm hoping for more. I'll be watching the new year special recap, picking up the UK BDs and making my own artboxes to put them in.

Hey if the US gets this, I'll definitely look into that too!
There is no feeling like getting a nice Japanese release mate. I'm going to have to check Yamato out and decide from there. Thanks to you and all the guys for the help about the possibility of it coming out elsewhere.

P.S - Mardock Scramble 3 is awful.

A week has passed since the US Fate/Zero vol. 1 release date and Animate still hasn't shipped it... I know as soon as I cancel my order with them, they'll get their supply, but... I am tired of waiting. Righstuf it is!

Also, will have to check out Mardock Scramble: The Third Exhaust prior to purchase now.

Why do you feel that way? I don't think that I'd rate it "outstanding", but I think that I was okay with it. It seemed to match my _very_ vague memories of the novel. ^^

I counted 30 minutes (out of 60) of the movie was comprised of a Blackjack (?) game. I'm no expert but I'd say that was poor pacing. I've got no awareness of the source for Mardock Scramble, but it's definitely a good thing this has come to an end. They found a perfect title in "Exhaust".

That reminds me...the sorry to say this, but the English track for Fate/Zero is lossy at 192kbps. The Japanese track is lossless though, and the video is top notch.

I think Sword Art Online is the same way on its Blu-ray.

SAO's English track is encoded at 640kbps, not 192kbps.
