I can't believe it either, my favourite Arnold film as well. At least we will be getting a decent release whenever it releases.

Anyone catch the Arnold interview on Fallon where he joked about his Total Recall commentary? In the interview he did the same thing for Commando, Predator and Kindergarten Cop. "This is the part where I'm mad. SO I yell SHUT UP!!"

This was pretty enjoyable. Arnold is always great but Stallone needs to hang it up sooner or later.

Sorry to disappoint... No Sly/Arnie commentary on this one. Director and screenwriter.

Stallone has been a hero of mine ever since i was a kid and watched "Rocky"for the first time. I've seen every theatrical film of Sly's first showing on opening day since Rocky IV. Yes, even the REALLY bad ones..(Including "Stop or my mom will shoot") And I really hated "Bullet to the Head"

But "Escape Plan" was a really fun watch, and I agree that Arnold was really having a good time. The interaction between Sly & Arnold was a real treat.

There's a scene where Arnold picks up a machine gun & the look on his face when he starts firing off rounds made me smile from ear to ear.

Escape Plan hasn't even opened in theaters here in Austarila although it will later in the month, so I can't wait to watch this on the big screen. Hows this performing at the box office overall? Because I know that Bullet to the Head didn't even make it to theaters down here even though it was previously announced to, but was canned because of the poor results at the BO.

The Last Stand only had a very limited theatrical run down here...

Australia isn't getting Escape Plan in theaters due to poor box office. It's only made about 23 million here in the U.S. It's made around 63 million overseas for a total WW gross of around 87 million.

I feared that would happen, disappointing to say the least. Hate to say it but Sly and Arnold have no where near enough support to keep making theatrical films, too many people don't care, that is apart from a pre established series or The Expendables.

I know man, it sucks. I saw Escape Plan on opening day, first showing. Not only was it in the smallest screening room at my local theater (which holds MAYBE 80 people), there were only 5 of us there, myself included. I didn't even feel like I was at the movies.

I have to correct myself here because apparently its doing quite well overseas. Its approaching $100 mill overall and is expecting to gross even more. This makes it all the more shocking that it would be canned from theaters here in Australia because it genuinely looks like Escape Plan is doing decent business everywhere else expect the U.S.

Thanks for the info, hopefully the flashback deleted scene appears on the Blu-ray.

It was admirable, but ultimately unworthy of being a Sly and Arnold film.

I thought 'Escape Plan' felt too much like Stallone's other prison escape flick "Lock Up", and even a little like "Fortress". The reveal of where they were imprisoned was a cool twist, though.

Escape Plan is basically doing the same business as Rambo 4. Bad BO in USA, but does well overseas, and will make a killing on video. I also think the HGH scandal that Sly had back in 2006 in Australia hasn't helped his PR if ya know what I mean lol.

I've got the deleted scenes in my editing system, but I'm in Toronto at the moment so I can't double check. I'll get back to you.
