CoD4 Map Pack for PS3: Very Disappointing For me

lol they dont drop prices on add ons. And 2.50 per map isnt that bad.

Ive looked at it and if you include the $10 on the map pack to make my total $70 for this game. I have played about 6 and a half days according to my log on the game. Do the math:

24hours x6.5= 156 hours of game play (and still counting)

7000cents/156 hours= 44.8 (round to 50) cents paid per hour.

So if someone said to me I could be entertained for 150+ hours for 50 cents an hour I would say thats a pretty nice deal. And it will only get better the more I play. Im only at level 4 prestige anyways! No clue how all these people have level 10 already haha.

The creek is good, but I must say, I feel a little cheated with the china map, as it has the same layout as a map from cod2. That one was during the day and had different style buildings, but map is the same. pretty cheap if you ask me. Also, what good is killhouse, just another shipment.

I haven't play the new maps yet, my shooter I've been playing is Vegas 2. I tried to get friends on my list to get off Warhawk and play, but they won't, lol. My pops is a Cod4 freak. He keeps telling me to get back on to play this new maps, he said Creek is awesome for sniping, and I would love it. It's just Sony has me so busy with GT5, messing with MGS4 beta, Vegas2, and now GTA4 monday night. Haze hits 3 weeks later, all these good games at once, jeez.

*Sigh*... Its SUPPOSED TO BE a remake of the Carentan Map from COD 2.

Killhouse IS another shipment type map. Whats wrong with that?

10 bucks is worth the 4 maps imo...same stages get old.......brings new life to the game...will be better when new maps are in rotation for other games also

I am beginning to enjoy the map...Kinda hate chinatown...too many building, too many turn, I haven't learn the map yet...the other two, no problemo...

The one thing I don't understand is how they will handle mixing people who didn't download the pack. Say you join a game on one of the regular maps... then the next round is on a map pack map. Do they boot you from the game? Or will you be unable to join games hosted by people with map packs?

It's really only 3 maps. Killhouse is cage match only.

thats why they have the variety tag on the game select type. now maybe the 360'ers can give us a hint on how it works on this one, since they got the maps before we did.

i can tell it might serve a challenge due to the current servers problems at times, add this on to it.

thats why they didnt 'integrate' the maps immediately into the mainstream selection. id rather have a separate area for the meantime, and let us er.. have the exclusiveness of em for now (considering others dont really like em anyways), instead of devastate the current system.

Chinatown is a tribute to the Carentan map of Call of duty 2, which was in its time one of the best maps that was created, considering how people were using this for close encounter challenges. If other people didnt like Creek because its a snipe fest, this ones for the Shotgun toters, even the P90 boys.

To each his own on the maps. Personally? i think theyre pretty much balanced.

Heck, if ever, they can just add more maps using the update service right?

What i was also hoping for was that they were supposed to add old school guns that COD WW2 fans wanted to integrate with Modern Warfare. But, i really dont think thats going to go well with the developers (might be a tad difficult to integrate that, plus filter those who didnt buy em too)
