I'd love for Blofield to return to the franchise.

It was criminal what was done to him in For Your Eyes Only.

Blofeld could return but with the current franchise they will retool him to be quiet different, IMO.

He already did the bald big bad with Lex Luthor. Love to see someone unexpected in the part.

If Blofeld does makes a return hopefully he is teased first, like in the old films, then revealed.

I was just reading about this on Slashfilm that since McClory has passed away that there has been a deal struck between his estate and the Bond producers. Looks like Blofield could definitely return.

I'd just love to see Daniel Craig go up against Blofeld and SPECTRE. Better yet, I'd like see Goldfinger go up against the new Bond too.

I don't care that Spacey was Luthor. I think he would make a great Blofeld. Seeing as he and Mendes are mates too, who knows...

Andrew Scott (Moriarty in the TV show Sherlock) or Jonathan Rhys Meyers would be my choice for the villain.
2014 is around the corner, we've already got a young hacker as Q, we need some fresh evil faces too. Please no more random grandpa, Dr. Evil impersonator or a big robot.

My vote for Blofeld is either Jared Harris (Mad Men/Sherlock Holmes:GOS) or Mark Strong (coincidentally, also a villain in Sherlock Holmes). Long hair, short hair, no hair, don't care.

I do find the timing of the settlement with the McClory estate to be interesting. This battle raged for almost 50 years and now gets settled right before Bond 24 starts pre-production. Craig has 2 more on his contract. Reboot of OHMSS anyone?

I'm not sure about Blofeld possibly being the villain. A lot of the people going to see this probably won't be big time Bond fans or haven't seen OHMSS or You Only Live Twice, especially the younger generation. They'd probably see Blofeld and be like "he reminds me a lot of Dr. Evil."

Anyone agree.

If you're watching a serious Bond film, and that's the first thought that comes in your head after seeing Blofeld, then you probably shouldn't be viewing a Bond film in the first place. At least not until you brush up on your 007 history.

That'd be like someone from this generation watching Star Wars Episode VII saying, "Hey, what the hell? Where's Jar Jar Binks?"

I agree, but a lot of the people that go to the theaters these days are teenaged kids that probably don't have a whole lot of interest in viewing the older Bond films if they haven't already.

It's sad, but true.
