UGA coaches said they did not expect Auburn to throw the ball on 4 and 18 at the end of the game so they did not tell the team to prepare or how to prepare for that scenario, ie knock the ball down and not let anyone behind you. That is reason enough to fire Richt and move on. What a damn fool of a coach that guy is.

Any player in that scenario that does not know that shouldn't be on the field in the first place. I was taught that in middle school football, and knew it far before that from being such a huge fan of the game at a young age. It's not brain surgery.

I don't know how Richt still has a job. He has had loaded teams so many times and yet always underachieves. Hell, he currently has a top three recruiting class for next year.

I agree and many of the UGA faithful are starting to agree. I'm not sure he makes it another year. Different year same predictable end result.

So I was just thinking... What if the worst case scenario happened and Winston were charged with a crime and deemed ineligible to play for FSU for the rest of the season. FSU has a really easy schedule left - Idaho and a lousy Florida team, then maybe a decent but not that great Duke team in the ACC title game. I think they'd probably win out without Winston. If that were the case would the pollsters drop FSU in the rankings to reflect their greatly reduced overall talent level or would they still make the national championship game?

I think the backup QBs, yes two, are just as talented physically as Winston. I'm not sure it matters, they are loaded.

Football is the ultimate team game. If FSU wins out, either with or without Jameis, they will go to the MNCG.

If he gets charged our dream season is over. They will put OSU or Baylor in the game, which is sad for the other players that put in hard work for this season. This has been the perfect shit storm right now, we just lost are second string QB for the season with a knee injury.

I agree that he is very unlikely to be charged. Sounds like they have a whole lot of nothing on him. But you might be right about the Heisman. There's a clause about integrity in the award and many voters are going to be hesitant about voting for him because of the allegations. But then again Cam Newton did win the award with allegations of taking money, though those allegations were less serious in nature.

UCF crushed Rutgers worse than I thought. Now we can lock up a conference title and BCS bid with a win over a terrible USF team next week since UCF needs to win just one of their last two games.

What we know right now is that the two definitely had intercourse. The girl sought out police help claiming that she was raped 2 hours after the incident, and a rape kit was administered at that time (hence the DNA match with Winston).

We also know that at the time of the incident, the Tallahassee Police Department showed zero interest in investigating her claim, which is unbelievably criminal all by itself, purportedly because it wanted to protect the football program. If that proves to be the case, then those officers need to be fired immediately.

I think this is the key to the whole case. If the rape kit showed she had any trauma and signs of her being raped and DNA matching Jameis, he would have been arrested already. What would they be waiting for?
