I did a search on this, and somewhat surprisingly couldn't find a thread on it. Seeing as it's out this Monday this seems like a good time to start one.

Anyway, mine came today (c/o Asda) so am looking forward to watching it over the weekend

Waiting for my steelbook. I've been looking forward to watching this again ever since I saw it at the cinema!

Got my steelbook yesterday. Watched it, but felt that like "Hot Fuzz" it was over-rated. Some nice stylistic director flourishes but all over the place story telling wise.

Watched this last night. Thought it was pretty good, and in places very funny, but would say it's the weakest of the "three flavours Cornetto trilogy". In fact this "trilogy" has definitely been a case of diminishing returns, with Shaun of the Dead being clearly the best/funniest film, then Hot Fuzz and then The World's End.

Really? I thought Hot Fuzz was the best of the three.

Got my trilogy set today, just been flicking through some of the features. Always loved the TV safe edits and the ones they've thought up for The World's End do not disappoint.

I'm with you, for me Shaun just isn't that funny. Maybe it would be funny if I'd seen any of the Romero films, but I haven't.

And Kermode goes on about the line "I can't kill my best friend, my flatmate and my stepdad in one day" (Or something like that) being both poignant and funny, no it isn't, not even slightly...

In what order do people rate "The Cornetto Trilogy" then? They are all good of course, but in preferential order mine are;

1) Shaun of the Dead
2) Hot Fuzz
3) The World's End

My ranking is:

1)Hot Fuzz
2)The World's End
3)Shaun of the Dead

I think all three are absolutely brilliant, but since I'm more partial to action movies anyway I connected with Hot Fuzz just a bit more than the others.
