Ugghh. That's pretty poor.

I've heard B&N customer service isn't the best, but that doesn't seem customer-focussed at all.

Still yet to receive any of my My B&N orders. Mine was partially cancelled as well. I ordered six titles at the beginning of the sale and they cancelled two. This after I responded to their emails about keeping my Out Of Stock items on backorder.

Bought the Unleashed edition of The Wolverine today. What I don't understand is that the extended version is only available on the 2D version of the movie, yet you have to buy the 3D version to get it? Why didn't Fox just put it with the standard edition of the movie?

Watched:

Between yesterday and today I've finished off season 1 of 24 with episodes 22-24 and then kicked off season 2 with episodes 1-3. I've also watched episodes 14-17 of Star Trek: The Next Generation season 5.

Bought:

Picked up some more titles for good prices. Nabbed Se7en/Copycat/Taking Lives, MacGruber, Upside Down 3D, After Earth and Spartacus: War of the Damned.

Hope everything's OK Kolt. Two weeks of doing nothing isn't a bad silver lining. Enjoy the viewing.

Just the one arrival this week:

Love the glow the plastic box gets.

I was just thinking of ordering that myself as it's only $60 at the moment.
It's been dropping a little almost every day since i ordered it. I got it for $67.xx a couple of weeks ago. Hope it doesn't drop to a crazy price price for Black Friday. Still, $9 a season is a great deal. And the box survived the trip from the US. Only a small crack at one of the corners on top. Nothing on the front, back or spine which is great. Can't believe amazon put this in a box with no padding! Hope my Man of Steel tin arrives safely.

Checked stock levels online and no point trying to pick it up in stores, as only Perth has stock for some reason...

Why do I do it?! Wander into JB, thinking, "I'll just have a look", knowing I'm lying to myself ... not good for the dignity at all. But these were such great-looking versions, and 20% off, I don't think I could have gotten anything equivalent from O/S any (or much) cheaper.

(Only caveat: the DVD copies annoy me. Why would that be? No idea, but they do. I'd *much* rather buy each of these as BD-only. And I really don't believe that the DVD copy doesn't bump the price up.)

Nice bit: the ratings logo on The Hobbit is an easily-removeable sticker.

I do the same every so often, I love buying the SteelBooks here in Australia though.
