The free Spidey 3 Preview BR..

picked up the free Spiderman 3 preview disc (w/ Beerfest.....hey, I wanted some more comedy in collection, and I LOVED Super Troopers, and the HDDVD - I bought the BR, calm down - got a good review in Home Theater Mag), all I gotta say is, meh. nothin' that hasn't already been seen, except for what looks like a severely cut-down version of what will inevitably be in the "making of" extras on the BR release. PQ *is* amazing, but everything jumps around so quickly there's no time to really appreciate the picture. I didn't check the "Coming Soon" section for other BR titles, anyone else check it out?
Oh yeah, PS - the whole "Sandman is the guy who really killed your uncle" story seemed kinda lame - is that what happened in the comics?

No - he didn't kill uncle Ben in the comics. The comics killer was a burglar named Mr. Carradine who died of a hear attack from seeing Spider-Man when he came back to rob Aunt May. Sandman being the killer is pretty lame and I'm surprised Raimi let this in...but I'll forgive for a good movie.

I got to say the way they went about changing things didn't make this better, atleast from my perspective!

ehhh, i still think Sam can pull it off. besides, they haven't showed any Venom/eddie Brock villain stuff as far as I've seen. could be holding it as a surprise.

Anyone see anything interesting in the "coming to blu-ray" section on the free spidey 3 disc from Best Buy?

They did get married in the comics. I'm not sure if it lasted or for how long because that was about the time that I stopped collecting them.

haha, i am a fan of keeping it original, but i guess you have to make the movie flow a certain way.

they probably have sandman kill uncle Ben to make and bring out peter's dark side, hence the black suit.

im pretty sure we will enjoy sm3

Does anyone else find it strange that the original Spider-Man movie was filmed and released with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 but the subsequent sequals have both been filmed at 2.35:1?

I've been watching 1 & 2 to catch-up before 3 hits theatres this weekend and noticed that 1 filled up my LCD nicely but 2 had the borders.

I'm assuming the BD releases of these films will rightfully stick to the original ratios.

Yes they did. Gwen Stacey was Peter's original love interest but she was killed by the Green Goblin.

The movie story does not follow the comic, but who cares.......I still love the movies.

Can't wait to see this one.

Actually, Spidey killed Gwen Stacy.

Green Goblin threw her off the bridge and Spidey used his web to catch her, but the shock of being stopped by the fall suddenly killed her.

Got a copy of the free Spidey 3 preview Blu-ray at Best Buy today. Got the feeling this may be a collectors item to be sold for profit on Ebay one day.
