We did the same thing last year against the Jags... Save your best game of the season for the end when the playoffs are out of the question. It's the Titan way. I always want us to lose those games too... Get a better draft pick and fire everyone.

It is time to find some new blood who can change the culture of this team.

We can beat anyone if we take care of the ball, but that's a lot to ask of Fitzpatrick.

This team has a lot of talent, and at the least we have been competitive in pretty much all our games this year. 5 of our 7 losses have been by one score, and usually we give those games away... Especially divisional games. Handing out free W's to the Colts since forever.

Peyton will dink and dunk us all day long, and Moreno/Ball will both have huge games. We'll lose 38-14

Per Shefter:

Quote:
Mike Tomlin fined $100,000. NFL also still will consider draft choice penalty vs. Steelers.

On Tomlin and Steelers, NFL said modification or forfeiture of draft picks will be considered after order of 2014 draft has been determined.

Reminded me of that time another coach did that during a return. It wouldn't seem so suspicious if it didn't block a returner's path during a runback so I wouldn't be against forfeiture of picks.

I don't see a draft pick being taken away. I think the worst the NFL would do is potentially move a late round pick to the end of the round rather than the spot it would normally be.

I think that's a good compromise.

I think they need to do something more than the fine though. Coaches will accept a fine if it saves them an important loss. It didn't in this case, but it could. The NFL has to stamp down on stuff like this ridiculously hard.

I could see them losing a pick especially if they get some supplemental pix so instead of 2 6th rounders they have 1....big woop.

Can you imagine if Tomlin did something truly wrong like record the practice of another team?

I feel you. This is BS. Lose a draft pick? Then the Patriots should have lost 2 years of draft picks, at the very least.

The Falcons-Lions game in London next year will start at 1:30 PM local time, which means it will start at 9:30 AM Eastern time and 6:30 AM Pacific Time. Both of the other London games next year will start at 1:00 PM Eastern.

Who the hell wants to watch a football game at 9:30 (or 6:30 for you west coasters) in the morning?

Do people in London laugh and point at the field during the game and ask why grown men have strapped on 50 pounds of protection to play rugby?

I wouldn't discount this possibility as the NFL is always looking for ways to make more money:

Quote:
And that leads to an interesting question: If the NFL follows through with the talk of eventually moving eight games a year to London, will it have all eight of those games kick off at 9:30 a.m. Eastern, and then sell that package of eight games to a TV network? If so, the NFL may have just found another lucrative revenue stream. As if the league’s billionaire owners need it.

I think it wont do bad relatively speaking you will get people to tune in at least for awhile just for the novelty factor alone.

+ instead of waiting around till 1:00 with dopey pregame shows you can watch an actual game instead.
