[Show spoiler]little flash forwards of the pink bear in Walter's pool and people in hazmat suits gathering things turned out to be nothing more than a stupid plane crash. To me, that was some of the cheapest, crap writing I've seen on a show. All season they have you thinking something is going to go down at Walter's house but...oh it's a plane and Walter is indirectly involved because he let a drug addict die. LAME on multiple levels (not letting her die mind you, just the whole bit with her father and the plane)
. I almost stopped the show because I felt it was so cheap and was afraid the writers would do it again. It still bothers me when I think about it. That said, the show resumed it's greatness and went on to wrap up in style.
What kind of ridiculousness is this? I've never seen anyone saying this before. The flash forwards were insanely cool and one of the best parts of season 2 and even the show. It was by far no where near the cheapest crap writing. Lol. It was extremely creative. I'm not even going to bother saying anymore because its just so foolish.

Definitely agree with Dispatch Ninja, though - each season the show gets better and better up to an incredible final season. And given S1 was strong, that makes for an all-time fantastic series. I think I'd rate them as:
S1: 8.2/10
S2: 8.5/10
S3: 8.7/10
S4: 9.2/10
S5: 10/10
In terms of my 10/10 for season 1, I don't mean it as in its the best thing ever created and it is perfect, but for the enjoyment factor, I gave it a 10/10. I still think it is some of the best moments of the series though. Maybe once people see the entire series and go back and rewatch it all they will appreciate it more.

I think the flash forwards were awesome. He is saying how the flash forwards ended up being something stupid though, all that build up for nothing.

Anyhow, I can't even remember anything from Season 1, usually when things epic happen I remember it, so nothing stood out. I'm on S03E03 now, and Im enjoying S03, still to much family drama, but I'm liking it overall.

Can somebody please help explain this:
[Show spoiler]
When Tuco takes Walt and Jesse to the remote location where old man Salamanca is, Walt and Jesse are asked to empty their pockets. They clearly lay their wallets and belongings on the table... After all the events that lead to the Hank and Tuco shoot out and Walt and Jesse get away, we then flash forward to the police wiping down and looking for evidence in the house... So what happened to the wallets and belongings???

I thought the exact same thing once Hank shot Tuco. I was like uh oh, wallets in house, ID's, etc. I just overlooked it though, along with other poor factors about the show.

I can say this though, S03E03, Walter manned the F*&* up! That's what I wanna see. Let this guy grow a friggin pair.

Yeah, fair enough - when I go and rewatch maybe I'll up my ratings!

They didn't end up being something stupid. I've never read anyone saying that before. I'm not going to explain symbolism and creators/director intent. People can re-read this thread, read old interviews, etc. but it was perfect.

Family drama...now I've heard this issue before but this is a "family drama" and how it impacts everyone around Walt. It's brilliantly done.

Yes you most certainly do to give this show a 5.9/10. You most certainly do.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with a foolish opinion. You won't regret finishing the series.

I'm sorry you think my opinion is foolish but it is what it is. chaselo1987 has it correct when he said my issue wasn't with the flash forwards but the payoff. It is akin to watching a murder mystery where they are giving you clues and hints throughout the film only to have the murderer be someone who was given 15 seconds of screentime in the beginning of the film and not a single clue even hinted at them being involved. To me, what they did was not a good use of flash forwards. Oh and trust me I got the symbolism they hit us over the head with there...I don't need you to explain anything to me. Sorry if I intruded on your circle of love here but I was just taking a stab at why chaselo1987 was feeling so low about the show at that particular moment and it turns out I was correct.

BB is one of my top 5 shows but that doesn't mean I found it to be perfect. I'm just capable of understanding that not every part of a show will work for me and can move on from what I see as an occasional misstep. I'm perfectly fine with others liking that moment.

You are welcome to an opinion, but when 99% of people have a certain view and you are in the 1%, you have the wrong opinion.

This show had flaws, and at times staying interested was difficult. The flash forwards described a few posts back disappointed me too as it did seam meaningless in the end when it wasn't a drug bust.

BB is good, but not near the piece of perfection some tout it as. All seasons probably an 8/10 if you had to score it.

Add me to your 1% club, LOL.

Everything has flaws. BB has very few of them. Adding you to the 1% club? I guess. Good riddance.

Well, I can say, that I have finally found the answer to my original question that I had difficulty getting an answer to.

If you are interested in watching the show, but can't really get into it.

Season 3 is the prime part of the show where it starts getting really good. You can kind of go without seeing Season 2. Season 1 is worth seeing just to get a feel for the show. I remember finishing Season 1, and thinking it was OK enough to start season 2, but nothing spectacular. Most of the stuff from one and two you can be filled in on, it has great moments though.

I am LOVING Season 3. I can't wait to finish it.
