Do any of the stores have an exclusive 3D version, or is the 3D combo pack the same everywhere? I know Target has the exclusive Digibook for the 2D version, but I wasn't sure about the 3D?

It looks like all the exclusive versions are 2D only. I'm debating between the 3D version or Target Exclusive. hmmmm......

Same here. Undecided since Target only likes putting their bonus disc on 2D releases. Target Exclusive vs. 3D Edition

Just came back from Best Buy and bought the last Despicable Me 3D Blu-ray for $19.99. Good price for a cool movie/3D.

edit: Yeah, it is a squeeze toy type thing. I didn't even realize it could be squeezed but I don't really want to spend an additional $20 to get those. I'm sticking with just the Target digibook and the Best Buy Lunchbox only for 7.99. Along with me $19.99 3D preorder from Amazon that I'm selling the 3D on ebay
Did the Walmart exclusive have the bluray in a regular case with slipcover? Because their Croods exclusive sucked...slim case in a huge box,no slip

Different studios, although their Turbo exclusive was a regular case without the slipcover.

Can't wait to get the 3D version from MovieStop tomorrow! I honestly thought the sequel wouldn't be as good as the original, but the cast really delivered, and the animation was top notch for a studio not named Disney. Man, this is a really great month for new release blu-rays!

Was there a reason the Target digibook was $28?!?!

I bought the regular Target exclusive for $20.

Did anyone else get the 3D version back in July for $19.96 from Amazon? I don't remember hearing anything about it, but I happened to see it while browsing and thought it was a great price so I ordered it. I forgot about it until I got a shipping notice yesterday. I'm certainly happy about it, I loved the movie and the 3D, but I just don't remember it being a deal that was talked about.

I placed an order back in July, and the deal is discussed on the first page. Great price for 3D!

The H&G digibook was 9 bucks cheaper. Don't know why the DM2 digbook is so expensive.

Ah, glad some other people saw it and ordered it at that price then. I didn't even remember doing it, I must have done it in passing and never thought to check and see if someone had posted it here. But definitely a great price for a film that, to me, makes excellent use of the feature.

Probably because it's a much bigger movie than H&G and Universal and Target know they can sell this limited edition at this price point.

Kids movies are big and parents will just buy without thinking too much about the price. This is one of the biggest movies in Universal history by the way.

They know they can get the overage.

Plus look at the options, Target is selling the regular packaging with bonus material for 19.99. There is an added cost to making the Digibook package which has a book inside as well as all the bonus material.

They also give you the cartwheel discount of 5%, not as nice as the 10% for Man Of Steel but I'll take it.

The Target prices are not out of line with what we've seen lately. I know we'd all like to see new releases for $10 and you can get that price too...if you wait.

Just look at the drop in MofS at BB next week for $10, but then again I'm still happy to pay a premium to get the MofS digi from Target.

As my friend [who's in the industry] says it's not Show "Friends" it's Show "Business"

So I take it from 50strat54's post that there is no disc content difference between Target's DigiBook and their "regular" bonus disc edition, right? Anyone see anything different? I ask because I talked to the dept. mgr. on the phone and, at first, what he saw made him think that the DB had more features - but he told me that if the ad suggested otherwise, he'd PM and give me the DB for the regular cost. When I got to the store he had checked closer and figured that they had the same content (as I had said), but since the descriptions on Target's package blurb were different, he lowered the price anyway and I got the DigiBook for $18.99 + tax (after red card).

I just want to make sure that the regular one is the same content wise before I open this puppy up. Has anyone opened a DigiBook yet? If so, what do you think about it?

You got a great deal. Yes, you got all the bonus content from the regular edition PLUS a Target exclusive bonus disc with more bonus features.
