Caps-a-Holic has a comparison up between the 3D edition and the UHE, which basically confirms that the 3D transfer is the same as the UHE except:

1: Obviously, it's in 3D now.
2: It's reformatted to 1.78:1 from 1.85:1
3: Additional sparks and falling leaves have been added in some shots for 3D effect.

I believe it is one 3D Blu-ray disc and one 2D Blu-ray discs (no DVD copy) in this new version. If that is the case I will more than likely post up for sale the 3D disc as I personally hate 3D. I bought this "new" release because I (like many others) was under the impression that it was a new 4K remastered release and the only way to get it on 2D Blu-ray was in the 3D Blu-ray combo pack. Since I already sold my UHE version on Blu-ray, I will just stick with this 3D/2D release but sell off the 3D disc.

It was pulled from Amazon here as well but briefly, as it is back up. The release is around a $15 one, that one you saw before is an import version for $59.99 as another poster mentioned. I am sure Amazon there in Australia will have it back up soon.

That sucks

Luckily my Oppo-93 is really good at handling all kinds of picture quality so the first disc is still the one I will continue to use.

@Tigermoth, which online Aus stores had it up before? All I'd found was JB had the ltd ed head pack up for 150, they never had a standalone disc did they? did elsewhere? I was hoping maybe just the ltd edition had sold out at JB (I can't imagine a lotta people buying it, but then I didn't imagine they were getting many, either.) Definitely more worrying what you say about the fox retailer ordering, where is that viewable? If it's still really coming out everywhere else then surely...and weird things have been happening with the release elsewhere as stated at Amazon Hopefully it'll still turn up. Weird, either way

Thanks for the news UFAlien. I hope the sparks were rendered for each camera for better pop out than if they converted those added special effects.

I was a little hesitant to get this with some of the news coming out about the transfer but with BB's 14.99 price, it's a no brainer.

I called and asked them what was going on with the tracking number, they said that it had been shipped out already so I would get it on the 17th. I doubt that if the tracking number is not active yet.

Predator 3D is not an exclusive. Only the predator head one from foxconnect is exclusive. Not worth it if you only want the movie though. It says store pick up coming soon on the website so they may carry it in store. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/product/...LpJZWzqAepMLbg

Schwarzenegger in a sci fi action movie in 3D (even if it's mild) for 14.99 which I haven't seen in years and don't have on video sounds good, agreed.
