I'm not really interested on this unless it's a new transfer. Is it?

No... They've used the UHE master to create the 3D master.

I'm sure it is just a mistake, but surely this is a 2 bluray disc edition (1 3D disc and the other 2D disc.) Never made sense to me to see this listed as 3D bluray and DVD with no 2D bluray lol. Great release day pricing on this for sure! I'm sure Amazon will match BBY price by Tuesday.

It pretty much IS the UHE, isn't it?

I'm sticking with the 2008 disc. I might pick this up if it ever hits a budget bin, but right now, I'm not interested.

I think so to as the Mediamarket steelbook in Germany is 2 blu ray disc (3D & 2D) and no dvd.

I thought it had a slip. The slip had the predator view, while the case had normal shot of Arnie.

There is no mistake. Germany and UK get Disk 1 3D/2D, Disk 2 Ultimate Hunter Edition for the extras. US gets Disk 1 3D/2D, Disk 2 DVD for the extras.

This has been confirmed by Fox Home Entertainment. Disk 1 will play in 2D and 3D on 3D players and in 2D on 2D players. 2D version on Disk 1 is the Ultimate Hunter Edition in the US, UK, and Germany.

UK version is still only showing as 1 disc on amazon.co.uk. I know those guys aren't the most reliable source of information, but you'd think they'd have it right only two days from the release date...

What is so good about a projector? I like to watch tv with shades up. As in sunlight comes flooding in. My 46 inch Samsung is fine in any light. If you are putting together your own theater just for movies, that's cool, but if it's for everything, isn't that pointless unless it is in a basement or dark room? And how do you you projector people measure screen size? Aren't the screens 4:3? So when you play movies you get black bars above and below all the time. So really the utilized size is much less than the screen size, right? If I ever get rich I want my own theater with a 65 inch led tv and great speakers. But adjust as I wouldn't watch a movie in the theaters with the lights on, I wouldn't do that at home. Maybe I am one of the few but I will stick with big screen led's that I can watch in any light.

My home has a 65" television in the family room for everyday convenience and I have a dedicated theater-room for special events. There are all sizes of screens. 16X9 is the most common ratio today. Some home theaters have CHI setups = constant-image-height, where the projected image fills the screen completely top to bottom for any aspect ratio and only the sides vary according to the aspect ratio.

If you have a dedicated room with good light control, a projector is the way to go. Watching a movie on a 120+ inch screen is amazing. Even an entry level projector offers amazing PQ, and can cost even less than a tiny TV. Screens are 16:9 ratio. A projector isn't right for all light conditions and rooms but once you get a taste of it you'll be a believer. The best setup is a smaller TV I the living room for everyday viewing and projector in the man cave.
