Default MFSL CD help

I'm looking into buying a couple MFSL 24k Gold CDs since I heard they have much better sound quality than your average CD, but I have a few questions.

1.) Will they play on the PS3?

2.) If so, do I have to change any of the audio settings like I do with a SACD?

3.) Are any MFSL CDs that are 5.1 surround?

4.) How does it compare to SACD in terms of sound quality (better or worse)?

and

5.) Given the option, which is better....a 5.1 DTS disc or a MFSL cd (not SACD)?

Thanks!

My opinions only:

1) There should be no problems at all - it's a CD.
2) No
3) No
4) On equal systems, the SACD is substantially better
5) For fidelity, the MFSL CD.

Some MFSL cds will sound better than the equivalent SACD because of mastering choices like EQ and the tapes used. Some of the MFSL cds are considered the best digital source for certain titles outside of home-made needledrops of the original vinyl. It really depends on a title by title basis. Not all MFSL cds are great though.

the choice isn't always one or the other, there are also a few MFSL SACDs as well.

Patricia Barber is one of my favorite artists and many of here recordings are out on MFSL SACDs

Check this link. A few of their SACDs are MCH.
