Plenty of non-digibook releases outside of North America, why Iceland specifically?

I can definitely sympathize with that.

The coverart is really important to me, which is any UK covers is a big no-no on my shelf. However, there is a better way than searching through the world for an official release where the cover is up to scratch:

Custom covers.

In addition to the thread on this forum, there are tons of websites devoted to just that. With a decent printer and proper paper, it'll look every bit as good as an official cover as far as paper and print is concerned, and better by far artistically. Problem solved.

yes custom covers are great, except the disc will still have the logo

1.) Buy the US digibook
2.) Take disc out of digibook.
3.) Throw out digibook
4.) Get spare case
5.) Print custom cover (or commission one) and insert into case
5.) Put disc in case

Was this really that hard for you to figure out?

Effort? Are you handicapped? If not, then what I just mentioned requires very little effort. Seems like you want to complain just to complain. You said you want an all-english cover, I point to the UK one, you whine about the logos. Someone tells you to use a custom cover, you said that's great, but whine about the disc having ratings logos. I tell you to get the digibook to eliminate that, you now whine that it's too much effort. Want some cheese with that whine? Anyway, you aren't worth another second of my time, so gl with this whole packaging thing. I hear it comes with a film on Blu-ray as a bonus.

The thing is, that release of Dr. Strangelove which you're linking to, went out of print years ago. I wish you luck if you intend to find it in stores.

It has been replaced with an edition in Sony's Collector's Edition classics series. Those have white background artwork and include slipcovers. FYI, even if bought from Iceland, it will include Scandinavian rating logos. Catalog number is SGSB10035.

Most custom covers, at least the ones from professional sites, also come with custom labels, to be glued directly on the disc.

Then you are left with matching cover and disc, English characters, and no rating symbols. Best option I can think of. Take it or leave it.

Ever considered the Hong Kong release? Costs a bit but less effort on your part (all English no rating logos easy to order).

I just realized, I did the same with Born on the Fourth of July, perfect idea. Might as well go with the HK version since apparently the other one is oop. awesome, I guess I can lay this thread to rest then, cheers!
