Australia Cevolutions Blu-ray Christmas Giveaway

I have a sealed copy of Christine on Blu to giveaway to a local member for Christmas, which you're free to do with what you want (add to your collection, or because it's high value, use it for trade, to sell, etc):

DSC07337.jpg

I can't have a Christmas tree in my apartment because I don't have the space, so I don't really bother with decorations, which is something that I miss. All you have to do to be in the running, is to post pictures of your Christmas decorations, and if you are able to decorate your blu-ray shelves then all the better. If you don't have any directions set up at home, then perhaps your desk at work... All local members are free to enter (except for LordCrumb for being a Christmas Grinch ), and I will pick the one that I like the best as the winner. Closing date for entries is New Years Day, so good luck everyone!

Very generous! As a John Carpenter fan with only 4 Carpenter movies to get and this being one of them....

This is our house:

We don't go over the top but our rule is to buy one/two new lights at each Christmas sale so our house is slowly looking better each year. At this years sales we want to get a set of the white LEDS that have the "shower" effect to go above the garage and a reindeer or Santa in a chimney for left hand side of the ground floor gable. The kids love it.

Here's our tree:

This was just after we put it up on December 1st. No Blu-rays in the picture there but I can tell you there are a lot for family members under there now!

While I'm at it I hope everyone has a great Christmas. Stay safe and enjoy your time off if you're fortunate enough to get a break! I'll be starting up the annual "Post your Christmas haul" thread on Christmas Eve so everyone can share what they scored at Christmas time.

Wow Cevolution, this is really nice of you

I don't really have the space for a Christmas tree, but I do have an ornamental tree thingy that lives in my main room all year (I should probably point out that I rent and this was part of the already in existence furnishing..) , so I decorate it each year for various occasions, as you can see here:

Dammit, we celebrate Festivus here.
Not sure an unadorned aluminium pole can win this contest.

This is our house:

Nice I like how your windows are all different colours it compliments the lights. We have some truly gaudy and ugly displays in my local area there's this one that had these horrific bright blue shower lights thrown on his carport and that's it, it just looks ridicules and blue isn't even a very christmassy colour.

Thank you all for the kind words. Looks like we're off to a good start, getting into the Christmas spirit which is really good to see. As it looks like this is gaining some popularity, I was thinking I will add a runner up prize for the local Australian and New Zealand members. As most of you know, Big W just had a big sale, in which I purchased The Hobbit extended edition 3d blu-ray with Bilbo/Gollum statue (note that the Australian 3d edition is not available without the model), and since I don't collect models, I am offering the model only, as the prize for the runner up.

I haven't yet received the model, so unfortunately I can't post my own photo's at this time.

See link below for a photo posted by Australian member darry:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...84&postcount=9

Also, I have noticed some interest from a few international members, so I thought I would offer some incentive for them to join in. Although the Christine Blu-ray and the Hobbit collector item will remain prizes only for local members, I will also award a Man of Steel 3d blu-ray copy to the best international entrant. I'm also still waiting on this to be sent by Big W.

Lastly, in the spirit of this as a competition, I don't have any intention of selling the items so I'd like to ask that you please refrain from sending private messages with offers for the items.

The house looks really good, and the addition of some of the items you mentioned will really add to the effect. I have to say I really love the Christmas tree too, I would probably do something similar to this if I had the space.

I like the 'multi-purpose' approach to decorating, and it just goes to show what you can do with a little creativity

The fact that you would exclude me from this, based on my Moderator duties, or exclude anyone for that matter, would make me boycott this anyway.

This is incredibly generous of you Cevo. And including international members is fantastic. Pity you can't have a tree at your place.

Here's my tree:

We don't do any outside decorations, so the Griswold's lights will have to do

There'll be more gifts under the tree soon. My partner's a last minute wrapper.
