It was a great race, but a tragic ending. Big Brown takes it from the outside post...are you kidding me?!! He looks unstoppable. Then the filly hanging with the boys and getting second only to die at the end. Very sad!!!

It was. I didn't watch the race, but later that night I opened up the espn.com page and saw this title heading.

"Big Brown wins, runner-up euthanized."

To say the least, I was very confused by reading that.
