It's been getting harder and harder for me to get 3D releases lately, I'd say within the last few months. Some stores have been sporadic in even releasing the 3D version of some movies (like Target for instance and Walmart many times). And if they do, it's only a few copies on launch day. Now Free Birds, with a wide theatrical release in 3D, foregoes a 3D release entirely. Frozen, a major animation film, is now only available in 3D as a Walmart exclusive? This is a disturbing trend. It looks like 3D blu-rays are being phased out. I believe this because the availability and quantity of 3D lately has definitely been on the decline.
