I found Scanners III to be somewhat enjoyable, more so than than Scanners II. Both films are cheesy bad, though, no doubt about it. I got kind of distracted with a couple of really bad, funny-looking actors in II (the guy who looks like the vampire character in Sesame Street and the top cop's weird haircut). The final 20 minutes of the film were badass IMO.

With 2014 coming, Scream Factory should get a hold on Brian Yuzna for Society and Bride of Re-Animator, whose rights lapse and revert to him soon.

PS- Just got the HDMI cable.

It's no Shocker, that's for sure.

On the other hand, it's better than I recalled. The Henriksen and James pairing alone is worth a lot of mileage. And the turkey scene.

I spent almost an hour trying to remember where I'd seen the actress who plays the daughter. It nearly killed me, but I was determined not to look it up.

Finally I cracked:
[Show spoiler]On Seinfeld, she played the hottie who is inexplicably drawn to George Costanza when he decides to go against every instinct he has.

"My name is George. I'm unemployed and I live with my parents."

"I'm Victoria -- hi (sultry voice)."

Apparently she's somebody's sister too.

demonknight, I just saw that Walmart had a display with $4.96 Blu-Rays. They had Rocky Horror as one of the titles, just FYI.

Just came home to find the player itself on my doorstep. It is wrapped and under the tree. I will set it up when my family goes to Best Buy next week to get a new TV.

Shes the resident hottie in Vamp as well....would have been nice if she was also one of the strippers

Horror Show is nothing special, but it is not unwatchable or boring even. My problem with it is that it comes off as some kind of semi Wes Craven Nightmare ripoff with the alternate reality and realm shifting; that and the limited amount of gore and nudity....horror killers.

Good one. Also, the 1980 David Hess slasher film, To All a GoodNight, would have worked.

I had never seen The Horror Show before but took a chance since it was released by Scream. Definitely not a classic but I had a lot of fun with it. Basically a much better version of Shocker, which I consider one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life.
