Best for me Halloween, worst The Amityville Horror the first two were good didn' care for the rest.

Every true horror fans knows that once a horror series goes past its first sequel and essentially becomes a franchise, it all turns to crap.

Having said that... The Fly franchise is the best.

The Fly (1958)
The Fly Returns (1959)
The Curse of the Fly (1965)
The Fly (1986)
The Fly II (1989)

Not all of The Fly films are as great as the 1958 original or David Cronenberg's excellent 1986 remake, but even the worst of them has merits of worth -- Unlike most horror franchises that repeatedly "milk" their concepts until they becomes the putrid pus-like product of a dead cash cow that only die-hard fans will continue to swallow.

I might have to say the Child's Play/Chucky series is probably my least favorite -- though I suppose, despite my own taste and displeasure with the silliness of it, I can understand the appeal of a creepy killer doll.
