You did not say what Receiver you are using...
Many Receivers available today, if designed to do 7.1 BUT run in 5.1,
offer the option of using the "Extra" available amps to run a set of speakers in biamp mode.
Because the Klipsch are already so efficient its not something that is necessary. Read the receivers manual...
If you later decide to try it out be sure to follow all the directions as to where all the wires connect and then. yes you would remove the connecting bars on the speaker and run two sets of wires to each speaker. I cannot impress enought the importance of the proper hook up to be sure that neither the receiver nor the speakers are damaged.
