United Kingdom Insidious Chapter 2 - January 6th, 2013

The smash sequel haunts homes in hi-def this January.

Personal thoughts: I saw the premiere in London and it's not better, nor worse than its predecessor. For £14, I've pre-ordered.

It was a bit of a letdown compared to the first but I'll pick it up when it's cheap to catch up again for Insidious Chapter 3. Hopefully in a double-pack with the first which I only have on DVD.

Same special features according to the press release. Audio is DTS HD 5.1 with English subs. Expect an AVC MPEG4 transfer.

Weirdly I saw this twice at the cinema. Saw it with a friend and then a bunch of friends, I really enjoyed it. A lot of creepy and slightly jumpy moments, but all in all it's a film that's easy to watch for me.

Will get when it goes down in price a tad. Is the slip a full length one? or a smaller one like the first film's release?

Slip is full length mate, looks a bit odd next to the first films stubby slip. Watched this last night, really enjoyed it!

I watched this for the first time last night. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first.

Did anyone else experience a couple of strange scenes when watching their blu ray? For a good chunk of the 2nd half of the film, I can only describe it as having that "soap opera" style motion plus effect (even though my TV doesn't have that feature)

At first, I thought it was just the camera style as the majority of it was shot through a characters video camera, but then I noticed it when it wasn't supposed to be. It was like it was almost sped-up. Strange.

I couldn't tell you. My TV does that, anyway. It's called Motion Rate (and it's bloody annoying).
