I forgot to add Bible Black, Another Lady Innocent, Night Shift Nurses, Urotsukidoji and Boku No Pico in my wishlist.
[Show spoiler] Seriously though, I have to add a very guilty pleasure: Love Hina. I know it's not good but at least it's funny and for a harem anime it's far from degrading (I'm looking at you School Days and Seikirei). |

The entire Harmony Gold situation is the reason I impoted both SDF Macross and Macross Plus without hesitation.
Typically I tend to wait for someone to license any given show I'm interested in outside Japan as I'de prefer subs if possible and not have to pay such exorbitant Japanese prices, unfortunately though Macross seems to be a special case. |

Capeta (DVD or BD, I don't care...)
Ghost in the Shell: SAC Gunbuster/Diebuster Macross Zero (just need a sub release...would have gladly bought the Japanese release if it had English subtitles) Patema Inverted (most likely a future release...) Short Peace (maybe a likely future release...?) Vipers Creed (DVD or BD, I don't care...) P.S. Add in: Birdy the Mighty: Decode (why was this not released on Blu-Ray?!?!) Ergo Proxy (with subtitles and HD English audio track please!...I have the JP release with lossy English track and no subtitles, excellent video quality though! Lossless audio HD track is stellar but unfortunately Japanese language only.) Last edited by Vracer111; 12-31-2013 at 02:05 AM. |

My long list:
Neon Genesis Evangelion & End of Evangelion Revolutionary Girl Utena & Adolescence of Utena Maasaki Yuasa's works - Kaiba, Mind Game, Tatami Galaxy & Kemonozume Satoshi Kon's works Mamoru Oshii's works - Original version of Ghost In the Shell, Angel's Egg, Patlabor films, UY: Beautiful Dreamer, etc. Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Night On the Galactic Railroad Gunbuster OVAs Ergo Proxy Dennou Coil Mononoke - The TV series directed by Kenji Nakamura. Real Drive Berserk Gundam 0080: War In the Pocket A Tree of Palme Macross Plus Le Chevalier d'Eon Mushi-shi One Piece series and movies - At least the HD episodes of the series on BD. I assume we'll likely get the rest of the movies though. Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger & Rising - I'd be okay with sub-only DVDs for these. |

Trigun on BD isn't happening until a new HD telecine (basically scanning the film in HD and cleaning it up) is done for it which is expensive. The licensors in Japan won't pay for it because no one in Japan would buy it on BD there as Trigun's popularity is solely in the west. It's likely up to Funimation to pay for it.

Funimation did announce they would be releasing Trigun series on Blu-ray in 2010 after acquiring the licence from Flying Dog if I recall.
Speculation was that they’d be mere upscales as no HD telecine master had been issued but then Funi went quiet and didn't mention the Blu-ray again, only re-releasing the DVD set in late 2010. Similar thing happened with Mushishi. Bluray version announced (Funi even going as far as to advertise its impending release within some BD/ DVD titles) then presumably canned it for reasons unknown. |
