The linked article has multiple still frame images of the play and it's very difficult to tell if Decker is behind Manning when he catches the ball. Since it was ruled a forward pass by the official scorer and the video evidence is so close I'd guess it will stay a forward pass and Manning will get the record.

While he is not exactly who I am cheering for in the playoffs this year, I'd actually like to see Peyton do well and get a second SB win at some point. It kills me that Eli has more rings then him.

To me the pass is a lateral or backwards, not forward. Manning throws it from just a little passed the middle of the 5 in the 50 and then Decker catches the ball at best at the tip of the 0 in the 50 on the other side. Unless you are going to argue that the people who painted those numbers are not mirror images of each other, it is a backwards pass. It is not where Manning is standing at the end, it is where he initially throws the ball to where the ball is when it is caught, not where Decker is. Sure it is close but it is a backwards pass hands down.

I love that Eli has more rings than Manning. Manning has all the records, stats and the fan base, while his overlooked brother has what I would consider the more important part, champions. Really shows how overrated stats are.

Yeah boy Elisha just lit up the league this year. He's a monster.

It is because Hoody has a brain cramp every time the Giants play the Patriots in the Superbowl. Look at 2007. How many times did Brady throw to Moss prior to the last drive?

Patriots vs Seahawks in the final. Don't care who wins just as long as it is a great game.

As a die-hard Chiefs fan, I would love to buy in to them making a deep run. But I can't, not this year. While I think Alex Smith is underrated (his arm has looked pretty good this year) the lack of receivers (Bowe is great but slow, Avery is okay) and the still young O-line will be too much to overcome. It's fine, I'm still thrilled with what they've done this year after a painful and then a dreadful season, but Supe Bowl? Probably not.

I think the Pack will lose it close to the Niners. The Colts pass-rush will overwhelm my beloved KC. Both the Bengals and Chargers will choke, but only one will die from the obstruction, and the 4th I have no idea because both the Eagles and the Saints are wildly inconsistent, especially the Eagles at home and the Saints on the road.

That's up there with the firings of Tom Cable and Hue Jackson for one of the dumbest decisions I've seen in recent years. Cable sweeps the AFC West and gets fired. Jackson goes 8-8 in his first season and gets fired. Now the Raiders are stuck with Alllen who is 8-24 in his first two seasons because they're too busy paying old coaches - who were better than Allen.

Chudzinski walked into a garbage situation with a crap team and no QBs. He brought a solid staff with him and improved that team a lot, regardless of what their record says. Yet he is fired and his staff gets to stay. Terrible.

Meanwhile the Titans are busy being the dumbest organization in the NFL, outside of the Raiders and Browns, and keeping Munchak's scrub ass for a fourth season.

Yeah that's a bit odd for a team with so many championships and season tickets your grandkids might not be able to get.

EJ showed a lot of promise when he was healthy. That's my biggest fear, his injuries. Every time he really started to turn a corner and show some great stuff he got hurt. I'm hoping it was just a fluke, but he really needs to learn to get the hell down when he scrambles. He can't be the franchise quarterback getting clobbered by linebackers across the league.

It's been official for a couple weeks now in my eyes... I knew he'd be back as long as we won our last two games even though they were against terrible teams and meant nothing.

But no... Technically not official.

EJ and Locker may be the same person.
