I am just getting into Clone Wars and am loving it. I know a lot of the same team is involved on this new series but some of the designs are very similar to CW. The Inquisitor looks like the male version of Asajj Ventress.

Star Wars Rebels Inquisitor Action Figure Reveal - Exclusive

The Inquisitor, the Empire's Jedi hunter and a major new villain in the highly anticipated Star Wars Rebels animated series, was unveiled by Lucasfilm at this year's New York Comic Con. Today, StarWars.com is excited to present the official reveal for the character's first ever 3.75-inch action figure from Hasbro.

The figure -- the first to be seen from the upcoming Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends line -- features five points of articulation, show-accurate accessories, and is sculpted in the art style of the series. Look for the Inquisitor and the Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends line to hit store shelves in fall 2014, and stay tuned for more Star Wars Rebels toy news from Hasbro at international Toy Fairs and here at StarWars.com

Which would be Vader and only Vader due to the "Rule of Two". Sidious and Vader are it. Any other Sith would need to be kept secret by whichever one of the two (Sidious and Vader) was secretly training him. Not running around in black clothing wielding a red saber.

Honestly the Rule of Two should have never been created in the films. It has handicapped the series going forward forcing convoluted work around.

Remember during this period Vader is training his secret apprentice Galen Marek. Rule of Two is just a rule to be broken among those pesty Sith!

At least Vader didn't get cut in half by some guy who hadn't even finished his Jedi training.

Is there confirmation if he'll appear in this show or not? I know the actor is busy with Being Human...

But that's in actual Sith Lords. Apprentices and Dark Side Force Users are allowed.

They're just not allowed to learn enough about Sith Teachings to pose a potential threat.

Since when that happens, the Sith Lord is usually preparing to kill his Master.

Like exactly what Palpatine did to Darth Plagueis as recounted in "The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise".

Or exactly what Vader was planning to do if he managed to turn Luke Skywalker in Cloud City.

Except, Galen Marek is not canon but Star Wars: Rebels will be. So expect anything detailed in Force Unleashed to be thrown out.

I think the Sith Inquisitor character serves the same function as Asajj Ventress. Not a Sith, just a tool of the Sith trained in lightsabre combat in order to serve a specific purpose.

The films show that Sidious would much rather have Vader engaged in military pursuits like leading the fleet or hanging around in Death Stars rather than personally engaging with whatever remaining Jedi there are in the galaxy. Forever trapped in the proverbial iron lung, Vader was not the Sith that Sidious had hoped for so I don't think it's that surprising that he would have other agents on hand.

It is canon. Its just its not as high a canon as Rebels will be. So yes, Rebels could overwrite TFU but until it does/is confirmed, TFU still happened. Of course this only covers the main story not any optional plot points such as alternate endings. For example: Shaaki Ti died officially in TFU, not the deleted scene in RotS.

This explains SW canon
