Funny you can believe that when I didn't know the suits were CGI 95% of the time until I read about it

The Great Gatsby as worst movie? Really? Im suprised.
The Great Gatsby was not best movie but not worst at all. Great music, acting, visual.

Just read the last few pages and some of the movies listed are so ridiculous that it takes the fun out of posting what movies really are the worst of year!

Saw about 10 or 12 movies this year, Man of Steel was my least favorite.

R.I.P.D. At a close second

1.Inappropriate Comedy: The worst movie of the year. Not funny. Can’t believe I sat through the whole thing. You can argue all you want about subjectivity, but if Man of Steel, The Lone Ranger or any other movie you saw this year is your #1, you didn’t see the worst movie of 2013.
2.Grown Ups 2: Terrible and not one funny thing in 90 minutes. Sandler needs an overall.
3.White House Down: Even in a year with two other lesser Die Hard movies WHD is flat out horrendous. Channing Tatum is terrible & uncharismatic in this role and can barely emote (see how upset he really gets when he finds out the bad guys have his daughter). Parts of the movie didn’t even make sense to me. A total mess. At least Die Hard 5 had Bruce Willis and despite being cheesy Olympus Has Fallen was the better of the White House movies.
4.A Haunted House: The trailer was okay, but the entire movies was painful to sit through. As we are gluttons for punishment a sequel has already been announced.
5.Scary Movie 5: Another frighteningly bad horror spoof. Scary Movie lost me after the 3rd entry. Please let this series die.
6.Dealing with Idiots: So bad I couldn’t finish it, which is unusual b/c I try to make a point of finishing every movie I start even movies like Inappropriate Comedy.
7.Getaway: Do yourself a favor and do what the title says. This movie stalled from the beginning. Playing Matchbox cars with my nephew over Christmas was more exciting than the car chases in this movies.
8.Breakout: This movie was broke and I wish I got out of watching it. I had higher hopes as it starred Brendan Fraser and Dominc Purcell, but it was a truly boring movie. Not the least bit interesting.
9.The Mortal Instruments: Another boring/crappy entry in the teen fantasy literature genre. The story was plain stupid with an even dumber ending.
10.Nothing Left to Fear: A lame and not so scary horror movie all the way around.

Don't you know it? Man Of Steel is the Matrix Revolutions of this decade.

What I'm really shocked about is that the internet is now defending Superman Returns. What the crap?

Superman Returns is one of those movies that a few fanboys have tried to trick people into thinking it wasnt a good movie and instead was a disappointing failure..
Just like With Ang Lees Hulk, Superman Returns was a critically liked moderate hit.

Man of Steel would be my worst also but let me say I've only seen like 8 films this year and I'll still see the next one.

The absolute worst movie I saw this year is The Host. You know a movie is bad when it tries to copy another piece of shit (Twilight). The rest are below...

1. RIPD
2. A Good Day to Die Hard
3. Delivery Man
4. Grudge Match
5. The Last Stand
6. Warm Bodies
7. Jack the Giant Slayer
8. GI Joe Retaliation
9. Hansel and Gretel
10. Now You See Me
11. Kick Ass 2 (really disappointed because I loved the first one).
12. Oz
13. Lords of Salem (made it about half way through and gave up)

There's a lot that I didn't see because I try to avoid bad movies...I.e. Lone Ranger, grown ups 2, etc.

REMAKE'S TOP 15 WORST FILMS OF 2013

[Show spoiler][01] THIS IS THE END

I know I'm one of the few who absolutely hates this film, but I feel like the 83% RT rating is way too nice. I saw this in theatres with a friend, and we both ended up hating it. It was painfully unfunny, and the best thing about it was the celebrity guest stars. Since I paid $9.50 for my movie ticket, I forced myself to sit through as long as I could. There was about 15 minutes left before I turned to my friend and asked him if he wanted to walk out, and he couldn't wait to spring out of his uncomfortable theatre chair. This was the first time I ever walked out of a movie, ever.

[02] THE LORDS OF SALEM

Just as painful to sit through as my number one choice, except I watched it for free so I'm not that angry. This film is incredibly slow and extremely dull. Since when do naked elderly women covered in dirt qualify as witches? This film was a giant piece of shit.

[03] AFTERSHOCK

The first 30 minutes is nothing but the main characters partying in a night club. I'm sorry, but that doesn't qualify as character development. This film is filled with dumb characters and an unnecessary rape scene. The only good thing about this film is a Selena Gomez cameo that only lasts for about a minute.

[04] GETAWAY

It looks like Selena Gomez makes two back-to-back appearances on my list. This film should've gone straight-to-video. This film includes the most obnoxious editing job I've seen all year. There's only one shot throughout the entire film that lasts longer than 10 seconds. The best thing about this film is the blu-ray artwork.

[05] THE LAST EXORCISM PART II

The most uneventful "horror" film of the year. I thought the first film was an underrated gem, but Ashley Bell manages to turn her character into one of the worst final girls in recent memory. If you've seen the trailer, you've seen the entire film.

[06] FRIGHT NIGHT 2: NEW BLOOD

Nothing happens for the first half. The characters are terribly written. Whoever greenlit this script can go straight to hell.

[07] SOME GIRL(S)

A dreadful film that relies completely on its dialogue. This was probably the cheapest film to make this year because every single scene takes place in a different hotel room as the lead character travels to different cities to speak with his ex-girlfriends. For each girl that appears, so does a bottle of Fiji water. Neither Adam Brody or Kristen Bell can save this film.

[08] VEHICLE 19

Paul Walker had two films this year where he was the starring role, and all the other characters were disposable. The other film, Hours, is a decent indie flick, but this one is absolutely horrid. Sadly, Paul Walker's good looks can't save this piece of shit.

[09] THE STARVING GAMES

This film is incredibly stupid. But I am a fan of the three young lead actors, and I chuckled quite a few times, and I pretty much knew what I was getting into. Apparently this film is so bad, it's quietly being released only to DVD on January 21st.

[10] THE SMURFS 2

Does this film even have a script? I enjoyed the first film and own it on blu-ray, but this is more product placements than an actual movie.

[11] CURSE OF CHUCKY

It takes 45 minutes for Chucky to move and 50 minutes for him to have his first on-screen kill. The CGI of Chucky walking down the stairs is laughable, the death scenes are underwhelming, and the failed attempt to connect this film to the original is disappointing. The best scenes are the ending and a short cameo after the end credits. I applaud them for having a semi-decent paraplegic final girl, but just when she starts to kick ass, the film is almost over. Just to prove to us how filler the first half is, there's an 8 minute scene of the characters cooking dinner and discussing vegetarian chili. "It's the oregano."

[12] A HAUNTED HOUSE

Another film I suffered through in theatres. It started out decent and went downhill quick. Apparently a guy getting raped by a ghost is funny. The swingers couple are very annoying and unnecessary. This needed less sex and more spoofing.

[13] SCARY MOVIE 5

Completely ruined by reshoots and very noticeable bad dubbing. I admit, I laughed out loud a few times when watching it in theatres, but after re-watching the film I realize I must've been out of my mind. This film is a giant hot mess. Although a part of me still wants to see the original version where Black Swan was the main spoof.

[14] JACK THE GIANT SLAYER

Terrible CGI, boring, and 30 minutes too long.

[15] RIDDICK

Suffers from a low budget, slow pacing, and disposable characters.
