I had a feeling Magnus would be champ one day....it seems a bit soon-ish, he's really going to have to step up his game Bobby Roode style to make the best of this chance. First British world champ in a LONG time! It amazes me that Davey Boy never held a world title.
I have no idea why no one ever gave him a shot. He could wrestle a classic and cut a good promo. When he returned to the WWF in his last run, he seemed lined up to be a complete badass and give Austin an amazing feud... and what happened.... a feud with Al Snow and complete burial. ![]() |

So AJ is back.
ANd now they're doing a title unification match lol... Something has me wondering if the only reason the WWE rushed and did a title unification match recently was because they had inside info TNA was planning a unification match and did it to upstage them. |

Thanks. Pretty predictable given the circumstances.
Reports are coming in that TNA cannot reach a deal with the Impact Zone. They planned on making a training facility and use the Universal sound stage as a hub for Impact 365. Next weeks pre-recorded episode will air, then the live Genesis show. Theyll then tape several more on the road in Huntsville before leaving for their UK tour where 2-4 episodes are planned. That means theyre good through February wih their live dates wrapping up around that time as well. Ive always hated the IZ crowd but this doesn't bode well. B) Davey's second run was under the thumb of The Kliq era, HBK didn't want to drop the belt to anyone. Vader was another victim of this. C) Davey's 3rd and final run was cut short due to drug use. D) Each and every time he left WWF he went for WCW, another no no. I'm postive ALL of these played a part in him not becoming WWF Champion. He should have been the one to become Champion, imo. |

and I knew about Davey's issues. I['ve been following wrestling since 1983....ugh, I'm getting old. During that last WCW run, where he injured his back on Ultimate Warriors trap door. (watch that match, he was in legit pain from that)... Everyone's on record, including Davey, himself, it was a mistake he followed Bret to WCW. Boy....both him and Bret suffered horribly in WCW. Davey's back, Bret's concussion and subsequent end of the career for Bret Hart (you can thank Goldberg for that!) |

It still boggles my mind why Neidhart & Smith followed Bret to WCW. It boggles my mind even more what WCW did to The Hart Foundation at that point since there could have been a solid nWo vs. Hart Foundation feud, instead Bischoff turns everyone against eachother and makes Bret turn face and heel 400 times.

Sad but true, they never should have passed up on Heyman. Just don't give him the keys to the bank account... They kinda took the money and ran, leading TNA down the wrong path. There was a good idea here and there, but I knew once Hogan and Bisch said get rid of the 6 sided ring that it was just the beginning. Bisch would rather work Hollywood and tv projects than wrestling. Might as well go back to Vince and work there....It's sad, but true and now we have another company on the verge of collapse because of them. It's not entirely on them, look at Dixie and the others in creative for the other half of the blame..... When Jeff was running things, atleast the stories were consistent and wrestling was highlighted. They had amazing talent and used it. X-Division was soaring, tag-team wrestling was on fire, Knockouts were bringing in ratings. What was lacking was the World Title picture but they were trying. Hogan and Bisch came in and fixed sh*t that wasn't broken....

NWA-TNA era will always KILL WWE in terms of actual wrestling. It's when TNA started to want to become a WCW is when it killed itself. Dixie Carter is a ****ing moron. |
