For me a new model would be better than spending time getting the old ones working. I have the model before the Pulse ones, so I am ready for something new.

Well that might work for you but there are alot of us that own the Stereo or Pulse headsets & want to be able to use them.

When Sony state they are going to be compatible... We expect exactly that.

I've read on N4G, Some users are reporting that the Pulse (ELITES) work flawlessly with a 3.5 mm jack to jack.

Sony stated they are working on making them compatible, not that they are. As I stated, I have the Stereo Bluetooth one but prefer a new model to be introduced.

I'm not that way either, I just don't approve of individuals who speak in a condescending tone to other forum members. Anyways, I have the stereo headsets as well & I would like to use them on the PS4 until a new model is released.

My Pulse Elite headset works by plugging directly into the PS4 controller... but that's just like any ol' headphones will. You can't use the mic and 7.1 surround doesn't work. I never use the "pulse" feature on them so I don't really miss that.

I imagine part of the hold-up (for the Elite edition at least), is they've got to make a new PS4 app for programming the sound modes. And here's to hoping we'll have more game-specific presets--the ones for GTAV, Bioshock Infinite and TLoU were amazing on the PS3.

A new headset might be great news for some but I don't have a spare $100-200 to buy a new headset, especially when my current one still works damn well

I want my 7.1 headphones and quality mic back! Hurray for Sony for pushing to have people communicate more online by giving everyone a mic, too bad they gave everyone a POS mic and a camera mic so that instead I want to mute everyone. Its sad walking around a store and seeing 15+ different types of headphones for Xbox One and then seeing a "chat" mic from Sony that looks like something you would wear working in a call center.

It would be nice to hear some actual news on what we are getting and when. I find it mind boggling that we haven't had any major firmware updates since launch.
