Against my better judgement, I went ahead and ordered this. Well, shocked when I opened it up and to my surprise, no patch or lenticular. And, oddly enough, it contains the #18 age restriction on each side of the cover. And has reference to ultraviolet. And, on the back in small print it say http://www.warnerbros.co.uk on the back. WTF? Looks like I need to return this thing.
I did watch it to see how bad it is. Well, it didn`t bother me too much regarding the cropping. I barely noticed it. And, if it hand`t been for this forum and others, probably would have never noticed it. The color timing issue was the main thing that I noticed. But, again, I was only aware of it because of the forums. ![]() Still waiting on the "definitive" version of ETD. |

I don't have a Frys anywhere near me either, but Frys.com is on the list of websites that BestBuy has in their PM policy. So, you should be to PM them, and in they say they PM Frys.com, then show them their PM policy.

I did not know that at all. Thanks for the tip. I don't think Fry's is on the north east coast.

I just can't stand the colour timing on the 40th Anniversary EtD. That's why I am holding on to my 2007 edition. |

Just had a look at this edition again, one year later: it truly is a grindhouse edition of EtD. Perfect encode showing all the grain, and I try, I mean I really try, to like the image ...
... but I just can't. :-/ All that contrast, softness, weird colour timing and cropping. :sigh: Jaggies or that? Jaggies or that? Hmm. |
