Ya, I just looked at that. There's a picture of the disc in the steelbook case and it's identical to my original French disc, same code and everything (F1 FR 1806BDSE.1). It even still says © 2011, which is when the original disc was released.

andreasy969, can you post the BD-Info scan for Barbarian?

The Blu-ray.com page takes me to the steelbook page on Amazon. The listing on Amazon even says it's a steelbook and was released a few months ago.

Yes ,we don't doubt that.
The release was indeed released some months ago but we don't know yet if it's a repackage of the old releases.

If you see the audio and video specification in the bluray.com page it says "see individual releases", and when you go a bit down it says:
This Blu-ray release includes the following titles, see individual titles for specs and details:
which take you to the 2011 French releases.

So, it's either a mistake of Bluray.com (if the steelbook includes NEW blurays), or the steelbook is just a repackage of the old ones as Bluray.com says.

I think it's just an automatic listing problem with Blu-ray.com's specs. No big deal.

Yes, we DO know it, because I (and other people) have confirmed it! I'm not an idiot

. In fact, we already confirmed it some months ago over at the German cinefacts forum, but I forgot to share the info here (I usually would have done that).

The October 2013 French steel book has a fixed 5.1 audio track (choirs are back there), has the mono track, the day/night/dogs scene is fine and the disc is uncut (uncut Extended International Cut) if played with a region A player or with a region B player set to non English player menus. The latter does not work with the fixed UK disc anymore, but it DOES work with the fixed French disc.

Well, I don't care if people are still questioning the validity of the information. I'm enjoying my uncut Conan with all the choirs intact :-)
I still haven't had time to watch the whole Blu-ray but I'll soon get my new Samsung plasma a workout :-)

Though I have another question:
You say the choirs are intact! (by the way, the choir is missing from 3 scenes! I'm not sure if you mean all 3 of them. Because most people think that it's missing only from the initial battle scene)
Is also the percussion in the orgy scene intact too?
The faulty 5.1 audio was missing some big Gong crashes in the music.
In the original Bluray it's at 1.33.07'' approx. till the end of the piece.

Here's what it SHOULD be:

Those WHOOSH bangs at 3.10, 3.14, 3.18, 3.22 etc., are MISSING from the other Bluray.
So, are they restored here?

I personally checked it for ONE scene after others had confirmed the choirs to be fixed. I'm not a Conan soundtrack expert. If you can give me all 3 scenes (with timecodes) in the foolproof way you described the missing "WHOOSHs", I will check all 3 personally for you.

I don't remember exactly where is the first scene where the choir is missing, because the piece is long.
The other choirs missing from what I remember (i don't have the faulty audio but a fixed version) are at:
-1.48.05-1.48.40 (there should be 3-4 choir words there. The faulty audio didn't have them)
- in the piece from 1.24.20'' and on ( i think in the faulty one the choir is really low and barely audible)
-the horse galloping (which shouldn't be there in a corrected audio) is at approx. 59.55 and on
