See, as much as I love Joaquin, Benicio del Toro gave a great performance in Traffic. If anything, Traffic was the one that got snubbed, losing out on Best Picture to Gladiator, while Joaquin really got robbed when he lost Best Actor for The Master.

On the visual effects side of things, Revenge of the Sith and Man of Steel not being nominated is hilarious. Both at the best effects of their respective years. If anything proved that these things are totally political, it's these two snubs. Hollywood hates Lucas because he can buy and sell all of them and doesn't play their games and WB didn't support R&H when they went bankrupt. Either way, in my mind, both were the clear winners.

Always the Oscar bridesmaid. However, his next movie looks just awardsy enough (about an Olympic runner taking as a POW in World War II) that he may finally get his trophy. But for this year's Oscars, it's Emmanuel Lubezki's race to lose.

The scenes where he is telling his sister he knows she is plotting with Maximus against him (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUcMo...ature=youtu.be) and when he finds out his father chose Maximus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPTyx...ature=youtu.be) are out of this world! |

Roberts won that as a nod to her entire career I feel, Erin Brockovich wasn't even the best performance of her career.

Gravity didn't impress me. Bullock and Clooney's heads look very fake inside the helmets and I'm sorry, but things floating and crashing around in space just isn't that impressive anymore from an effects standpoint.

Oh yea, she was disturbing to watch for me. Her speaking about her fascination about the red dress and about no one caring about her was so heart wrenching!
