This is a day 1 buy for me. I saw it two days in a row when it was in theaters and it is one of my favorite movies of the year.

Just finished this. What a fantastic film. Definitely getting it on blu-ray.

I love, love, love, LOVE that this comes in a transparent case. Criterions look great in their clear cases, as we all know, but my very favorite blu-ray package is my Target special edition of Black Swan with the clear case and the black/red slipcover.

And with the recent price drop for ST12, I'm even more excited to finally have this in my hands. Hurry up, January 14th!

The Spectacular Now and Short Term 12 both were in my top 5 of 2013 and they're both being released in a week. Definitely brings the level of excitement of getting Blu-rays on Tuesday to a new level.

If only Brie Larson was personally delivering my copies of both.

Just watched most of the extras, and they're decent, although a commentary would've really rounded out the package. The best is probably the original short film, which is quite different in tone and style despite featuring some of the same dialogue exchanges and even "characters", as far as it goes. The deleted scenes are all pretty good too, although the one alternate scene is an idea that doesn't work and ends up seeming fairly weird.

Holy Carp, this one just went down to $14.99 on Amazon!!!! Best Buy has had some amazing prices lately.

The screw up (I'm sure) with Thanks for Sharing at $12.99, this at $14.99 and I've heard the Spectacular Now will be $14.99 too.

Gonna grab this from BB on release day with a nice $5 RZ certificate. Really enjoyed the film. The hour and a half flew by quite quickly.

I hadn't even heard of this until about a week ago, but man these great reviews can't be ignored (and the $14.99 price point certainly helps)!

I think the next week might single handily be my biggest blind buy haul!

will probably be one of the people to also get this next week, and since it doesn't come with a digital copy, it won't be one people can get a cheap digital for

Such a shame that a film like this, the best of this year, had only a handful of posts while garbage like Man of Steel had thousands and thousands of posts. Makes me sad that people would rarer watch and talk about crap than view and discuss a masterpiece like this.

I was going to rent this from my video store but we aren't getting it . Now I won't get to recommend it to customers. So I'm just going to blind buy it. Friends of mine have LOVED it and think it will be one of my favorites of the year.
