It's not 3D, but I can't imagine why ; wasn't the 3D issue the reason Aronofsky jumped ship? Sony must have a lot of confidence to release it without the surcharge... or maybe they just don't care by this point.

They're foolish not to do it in 3D. Just like the Total Recall remake should have been 3D.

The original film was a classic. An ultra violent satirical take on a future society.

This looks like a piece of rubbish and the design looks awful too. Murphy doesn't even die first, he gets saved.

Yeah it's just in 2D unfotunately I remember a long time ago that it was listed as coming out in 3d too. I'm so confused why they dropped it

Otherwise though, I'm super psyched to see the reboot! I think it's looks great and the cast they have is really strong! Plus I got free movie cash from buying the remastered bluray of the original Robocop (Drop what you're doing people and buy the remastered bluray for 8 bucks ASAP!!!!! It looks INCREDIBLE!!!) xD I do adore the original movie and it's a classic, but I'm really excited to see the new spin on the tale with the reboot

Even though it's not in 3D, the trailer still looks awesome. I'll definitely be seeing this one.

To each their own.

Not me though, I lasted about 45 minutes and we turned it off. I just really love the original. I respect the directors attempt but it's original or nothing for me on that title.

I will give robocop a chance as well, we'll see.

I still say they could have opted out of the massive reboot budgets and sunk about 2 million in to each amazing 3d conversion then rereleased in the theater. Recall would bring the dough, robocop would be hit or miss.

Very confused about this release since apparently the Chinese poster does mention a 3D release:
