The Arrow release doesn't have the Director's Cut or Argento Cut on the Blu ray by the way. Do you have the Ultimate Edition DVD set?

But the Directors and Argento are only on DVD in the set, hence what he was saying, that they're not on blu ray

Final Exam will not be porting over the new commentary from the Scorpion DVD.

Instead, it will feature an older commentary with the three cast members that are also on the interview. So, nothing new, but at least we'll be getting everything ported over (with the exception of the Katt segment and Commentary).

Sounds good to me. I, for one, will hang onto my Final Exam DVD anyway. But I can't wait. This is mine day one (well, almost all the Scream Factory discs are) but I'm acually really excited for this one.

I love the slow build up and Halloween-esque "motiveless killer" aspect. Final Exam was also filmed very close to me, the next county over actually. They originally marketed it as a sequel to Halloween (at that time Halloween 2 didn't exist yet). The trailer even says "he's back" and makes it seem like Michael is the killer. It's pretty PG-13 but a wonderfully, slow burn slasher.

Sounds good, I would have liked a few new extras but the existing ones will do me fine. I don't think I heard the old commentary track before so that's a new one for me to listen to.

The Arrow release only has the theatrical cut on Blu-ray. The extended and Argento cuts are only on DVD, and are PAL formatted. So you would need a region free player to play those releases. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Blu-ray has the special features in standard definition, and in PAL, so the only thing you would be able to play from the Arrow release is the movie itself.

Although it's pretty expensive, Japan just released Dawn of the Dead with all three cuts on Blu-ray. It's Region A, so you wouldn't have any issues playing it. I haven't been able to find out what the special features are, so it may just include the three cuts, and that's it. They used a new master for the theatrical cut, so it has a different look than the U.S. blu-ray. Since this is a new master, I wouldn't be surprised if (if we ever do get the ultimate edition) it includes the new masters for the three cuts.

Alright, I'll have to look into that one, then.

In the Arrow version, only the theatrical cut is on Blu ray. The other cuts are on SD DVD.

If they do, it will be region locked.

One thing that bugged me about the dvd Ultimate Edition of Dawn was the fact that there was no cut that includes all the footage into one. You had the extended cut that had most but not all of it. I would love to see a Collector's Edition of DOTD from Scream but also content with what I have.....for now.

There's a fan edit that contains every single piece of footage for the movie put together. I believe the audio's in German, though.

Damn, I always thought the Extended Cut was all of it. I guess I'll have to watch the other two versions in that Ultimate Edition to see what scenes I missed out on.

I just got From Beyond. Boy is this movie slimy. The actors are basically covered in a fine layer of goo by the time the credits roll. The features are great. As usual for scream factory.

Who has the rights to Body Parts? It's coming on cable tonight and it got me thinking how cool a blu-ray would be.

I've always wanted to see the rare R-rated cut of "Dawn" myself, the one that played with Creepshow in 1982. With over 50 cuts, I imagine it's terrible but nevertheless, for completist's sake, I think it should be included in any future box set.

I have a copy of the fan edit and it has English audio. Really nice to have but I would love to get a legit release of it.

What's wrong with the current anchor bay transfer for Dawn. I think it looks great. A bit dated sure. But it looks much clear than any release beforehand. My only complaint is many of yours. The other cuts aren't included.
