?

The pre-orders were clearly put up prematurely for whatever reason. Not sure why everyone's so upset, it'll come out at some point soon.

I think amazon just pulled it because they put a preorder up before they were technically supposed to, and half the info was wrong. They seem to be updating it while it's down though - it now does say it will be released by Paramount.

At work I get release schedules delivered to me weekly and it's still on there for a March 24th release. Patience is required, I guess.

Producers and Casting directors are currently seeking females for a David Lynch's Twin Peaks Promo. Sande Alessi Casting is currently looking for brunettes or redheads to play a waitress. They are looking for a very attractive talent. Interested? See the following casting call details below:

TWIN PEAKS PROMO. Directed by David Lynch. Shoots in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Prob a 6 hour or less day. Rate is 150/8. You must live in LA to submit. I don't think SAG has jurisdiction on this, so SAG and NON can submit. I have called SAG to double check this and I am awaiting a call back to confirm this though.
HOT Caucasian girl - BRUNETTE OR REDHEADS ONLY to play waitress. Age 18-27. MUST have an amazing body. Busty, very period looking face. Please submit two current color photos (one body shot, one face shot), your sizes, union status and contact info to: SandeAlessiCasting@gmail.com Subject line should read: TP Promo

This is the event for the 25 year celebration though, will be nice to have something brand new, even if it's just a little trailer.

The 'see you in 25 years' Laura says to Cooper is more a fan thing. The 25th Anniversary of the show will be 2015. So the dates aspect is surely something flexible.

Also, to celebrate any of these '25 years' of Twin Peaks, surely a lot more is warranted than a promo/ trailer!

I really do think this Blu-Ray release requires a lot of good promotion though, of course. The Gold Box set was pretty well promoted.

You probably have all read that this casting agency ad for the 'promo directed by DL' was some sort of false concoction. Twin Peaks fans are definitely the most passionate and sometimes crazy bunch I've met on the internet. (that's a good thing!)

Apparently, not connected to Twin Peaks in any way.

EXCL: Ray Wise Confirms “TWIN PEAKS” Lynch-directed Blu-ray Promo

Quote:

It’s been 25 years (story-wise) since the world followed Agent Dale Cooper and his investigations into the surreal and horrifying town of TWIN PEAKS, breaking new ground in television and amassing a huge audience and enduring cult fanbase. Now, after a casting call for a TWIN PEAKS promo, purportedly directed by series co-creator David Lynch himself, rumors began to swell that we would see, however briefly, more of the PEAKS universe for the show’s upcoming Blu-ray release. This rumor was especially titillating as it would coincide with Laura Palmer’s posthumous sentiments to Agent Cooper and give the first new PEAKS to the generations that have discovered it in the years since its cancellation.

In a recent chat with Ray Wise for the home video release of BIG ASS SPIDER!, the actor who famously played Laura’s father Leland confirmed to FANGORIA that the promo has indeed been shot with Lynch behind the camera, and that there will in fact be a Blu-ray set for the series created by Lynch and Mark Frost!

“Yeah, we [shot the promo for the Blu-ray] two days ago,” Wise tells Fango. “It’s been done. I don’t know if I was supposed to leak that to anybody, but yeah, we did it and I’m not at liberty to say what was done. I can say that it’s going to be a big surprise.”

There you have it folks! But possibly even more enticing: if Ray Wise was a part of the promo, who else might we see?

Great stuff!

Looks my DVD gold box set (imported way before the UK one came out) will finally be redundant then. Hopefully they'll include Fire Walk With me too.

Wow, brilliant news, can't wait. Been holding off a DVD re-watch for this set, hope its officially announced soon.

I imagine that the promo will be put online on the date of Laura's prophecy, which will then lead to the actual announcement of the set.

I'll probably keep both too tbh - there's nothing wrong in retaining the show in dual formats and the Gold Box is a cracker....

I wont as long as the new set has everything the old one does. Whats the point? If you are never going to look at a certain DVD again (because you have the blu) what is the point in keeping the DVD? Anyway, thats my way - sold a lot of DVDs on ages ago while the going was good

Only point for me is that I work away from home a lot - if it's for an extended period then I take one of our BD players. If not, then I'll make do with whatever's there where I'm staying, which is usually a DVD player.

Although in general, I should add, I do tend to agree and do the same thing. I de-duplicate as much as possible - either by ditching the DVDs completely, or where possible just putting another spider hub into the BD case to house the additional DVD.

The Gold Box though is quite a nice set, so I'll make an exception in this case, and keep the set, even if I do get a new BD set.

I have the Gold set and the separate DVD releases of both seasons - I can't bare to get rid of any of them, just because how good they look.

I'm really excited to see what this ends up looking like. I hope it's more like that fan cover than the rumoured US official one.
