There are people who feel this film is average. Get over it. I thought it was barely average.

Watched this very recently.
For some reason I expected to hate it but in the end I enjoyed it but that's not to say it's a great film because it isn't.
It's average to good at best.
I found Oprah a bit odd and distracting, the narrative all over the place - it felt like a 4 hour mini-series edited into a 'Movie Edition'

Forrest Whitaker was very good part from his voice was occasionally annoying - his ageing make-up was fantastic.

Glad I watched it but in the grand scheme of things it won't have a lasting impact.

There are so many recognizeable/big-name actors in this. Just looking at them all on imdb makes me a little dizzy. I think I'd be all over this if it weren't for Oprah being so prominently visible in almost all the marketing. It sorta makes this look like a TV movie for some reason. Nonetheless, I'll definitely rent it.

After watching the bonus features on the blu ray I noticed there are 2 deleted scenes which I don't remember being in the film and are not in the deleted scenes section of the blu ray bonus features. How ever in the gag real the scenes are there. One is where Jackie Kennedy is standing next to the dinning room table talking. The other is when the butler is serving one of the presidents while he's talking to a black man on the White House patio. I will be re watching the movie to make sure that I simply just didn't noticed them. And if they are not in the movie then that means there are more deleted scenes that didn't make the deleted scenes section of the blu ray bonus features
