King of Queens - A horrid failure.

Lost - A rushed attempt to tie up all the loose ends.

Whatever issues the Lost finale may have had, being rushed was not one of them. The producers knew before starting production on the last season that it was the last season. So they had 18 episodes to work with to tie up all the loose ends.

Roseanne - Just a terrible final season overall, and an infuriating finale.

As the TV Guide special put it, "I think we had to put a moratorium on 'dream' endings after St. Elsewhere, but the Roseanne episode clinched it."

Actually they knew since season 4 how many episodes they had left. In season 3 they made a deal with ABC for 60 more episodes. Nothing was rushed. Any problems real or perceived were a result of the writers choices not a lack of time to deliver.

Um....no. Did you even see the finale? It was like 2.5x longer in length than an average episode and was in no way rushed. Many of the loose ends were tied BEFORE the finale. Get your facts right before you speak. It makes you look dumb.

While I completely agree with you, I hated the finale & season 6 is the worse season, which was better than most shows best seasons. Still my favorite TV show of all time.

Awake (with Jason Isaacs) -> but that's because they never gave the show a chance. Loved the first and only season, but the ending would have only worked if it had gotten another season.

I don't agree. The ending resolved the premise.

Actually... no it didn't.

[Show spoiler]at the very end, Michael Britten created a third reality. Thus we still don't know which of his three realities is the actual reality and which are made up by him. Obviously we know that the third reality is fake, since both his wife and son are in it. The final episode shows that his sense of reality has fractured even more. That's not a solution, that's a cliffhanger for a next season.

The obvious other interpretation is that Britten had a complete breakdown, and none of it was real. Granted, this would be pretty much an "it was all a dream" ending, but it does resolve the premise.
