Seventh Son is February 2015, it's been pushed back 3 times, most recently from January 17, 2014 to February 6, 2015. (It's been completed for over a year now, there's something else afoot besides distribution windows.)

Stalingrad will be a one week limited engagement in IMAX 3D, Sony says they'll expand it at a later date, but it'll take a miracle, since they do such a wonderful job with their other foreign films. (Plus, middle America which is lapping up Lone Survivor this weekend wont care at all about Russian war history, let alone reading subtitles.)

Bummer Seventh Son was delayed, but when millions of dollars are on the line for the right release date, putting it on hold for the least competition is not always a bad sign, but a smart move in some cases.

Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters was delayed by a year or more, and that turned out to be entertaining, as it was intended to be, with really good 3D and great pop outs.

Rerender the second camera (of an added 3D rig attached to the original digital CGI camera). The second camera will be parallel in this case, rather than converged as with live action. This prevents having to re render the original file, so only the 2nd camera renders are done.

Then adjustments are made in post editing for convergence of the 3D to push the 3D into the frame. If no adjustments are made with a parallel set up, most objects will pop out, and the background will be closer to the front of the screen.

3 years, well, 4 years since we just started 2014 does seem like a way's off, though with time seeming faster every year the older we get, it should be here in the blink of an eye.

Speed up Time: Don't look at the clock or think about time.
Slow down Time: Count every second till the target time eventually arrives.

Star Wars VII 3D December 2015 seems like it's going to be awhile, but I'm guessing Principal Photography started already this month with the actors.
Blu Ray 3D will hopefully be around and available for it by May 2016 the following year from Disney if all goes to plan.

Looks much better than the directors last two 3D outings. Looks like it might surpass Resident Evil Afterlife, the directors first 3D film, in terms of stereo quality. Hopefully he amps it up even more for Resident Evil 6. Judging by the trailer he still needs to learn how to do medium and close up shots to achieve stereo roundness. He should ask the Director of the new X-Men movie how to do that.

Yes, here's hoping Pompeii's 3D is a notch up from Afterlife. Anderson is hopefully pushing himself with stronger 3D rather than being satisfied with the status quo.

Btw the fire in me has been stoked again regarding Robocop in 3d I just saw on the Grauman's Chinese facebook page that they would have it in Imax and 3d! I really really hope it's not a misprint lol

That would be awesome if it's in 3D. RoboCop looks pretty cool IMO and I swear that Robocop poster at Cinemark said Imax 3D on it. This weekend when I check out I Frankenstein 3D, I'll hopefully be on that side of the theater to snap a photo of the poster if it's still up. I wouldn't have created that thread if I didn't see some kind of 3D indicator/suggestion somewhere, though the movie trailers on TV don't even hint at 3D sadly, so it's still up in the air.
But yeah, if the Chinese Theater in LA mentioned in Imax 3D for Robocop, that is cool. Thanks Mseeley for the info.

Robocop is not 3D, it is just the "IMAX Experience", per the theater website. Whoever updated their Facebook page is wrong. (Probably assumed Imax Experience meant 3D.)

Yeah, after finally visiting the official site the other night, they only list it as Imax. So you're likely correct about it along with others who have also mentioned it's only 2D. Oh well...

That poster of the Witch movie from China looks great. I hope these overseas movies arrive here on blu ray 3D if the 3D is as incredible as the strong 3D of Swords of Dragon Gate 3D with Jet Li on blu ray 3D.

That sounds awesome, thanks Tigermoth. Stronger 3D than Swords of Dragon Gate 3D is an achievement. Glad the director is continuing with 3D, as he and his team have clearly mastered it.

Dragon Gate is fun, and has some great action. Is Detective Dee 3D playable on a PS3? I'll take a look and at the price also, but would be happy if they also consider it in other territories.

I've been quite interested in Young Detective Dee but have not seen it for sale in North America. Does the copy you have include an English language audio track? I find it quite difficult to read subtitles in 3D movies.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'm guessing this will play on a PS3 without a problem if I have the right region. I actually haven't imported a movie yet and usually wait for it to arrive in my area first, but miss out on a lot of 3D titles that way.

The 3D trailer of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 looks great. There's a lot of depth and the CG also looks great.
