RWBY is 1 of those kinds of series where it's kind of hard to judge. It has some Anime-ish girls in it, but it's not Anime. Even in the Animation it's like it has a hint of Anime feel to it, but it for the most part doesn't. Plus it wasn't Animated in Japan. I picked up the last copy of it on Blu-ray at Wal-Mart yesterday.

Red vs. Blue definitely would not belong in the Anime section forums.

eh, to me, anything drawn in an anime style is anime, wherever it is made. People get way too technical about that. Just like Avatar: the Last Airbender. That's still my #1 favorite anime.

And really, who else is going to be that interested in RWBY except anime fans, anyway?

Anime is anime regardless of which country it was animated in. This is anime pure and simple.

Ok, my copy of RWBY has shipped from Amazon (along with two other anime titles), and will be arriving on Tuesday... finally.

RWBY was a blind buy for me and I really enjoyed it. I will look forward to a Volume 2.

While it's not anime, I was mildly entertained by it when watching it on Crunchyroll. The story was (so far) fairly standard. The animation's simple and slightly clunky. Some of the characters are interesting. I haven't yet decided whether or not to buy it...

So I finally got around to watching RWBY over the weekend, and I really like it! The animation style took a little getting used to, but after a few minutes(and some nice action sequences) it really started to flow.
Anyone have any idea when Volume 2 will be released?

I wanted to know this too but found out you can watch the series for free so didn't see the point.

Rooster Teeth's RWBY streams are in HD but with a fairly high compression rate, so there is a lot of blocking and degraded video quality - The Blu-ray PQ looks gorgeous. Also, the Blu-ray (and the DVD I would presume) presents the show in movie-mode by default, so you don't have to sit through repeated OP and EDs for each episode... But, I do believe it is Region A only... I don't have any way to test my copy, though.

I am getting anxious for season 2 as well, I hope they are not going to be a full year apart, though...

For those of you who enjoyed Roosterteeth's release of RWBY Volume 1 last year, I just noticed that Volume 2 episodes have been posting on their site since July 24th... They're up to episode 5 now.

I was wondering when the second part of the season was going to start, and I just thought to check their site this morning... so I have some catching up to do! Since their timing for releasing Part 2 episodes is about the same as Part 1 was last year, I suppose we can expect a Volume 2 Blu-ray release about the same November time frame as last year...

Nice! I enjoyed the first BD, and will definitely pick a Volume 2 if released.

I forgot to post in here that RWBY Volume 2 went up for pre-order about a month ago, so my copy is already on order. Unfortunately, it's a lot more expensive right now than the first Part was, which I got for $9.99 - I was hoping Volume 2 would drop in price a good bit before the release date on December 9th....

I have no interest in Red vs. Blue at all...

I like Red vs. Blue more then RWBY, but they're both great shows, and they're two different genres. While having some juvenile humor, not as much as seasons 1-5, Red vs. Blue is probably the smartest American made Sci-Fi show in some time. Heck, some reviewers have called seasons 6-current "The Firefly of web shows." and I kind of agree. But both RWBY and RvB are great in their respected genres, Sci-Fi for RvB & Fantasy for RWBY. But this is just my opinion, man.

So RWBY Volume 2 is also going to be SD audio....rrrrrrrRRRR....WHY?!?!?!!

I thought there was something wrong with my Volume 1 Blu-ray since is says DTS-HD audio all over the back...but no...only Dolby SD tracks available. Is there some way we could petition Rooster Teeth to implement HD audio?

Anyways, looking forward to seeing the Pyrrha Nikos fight scene from episode 5 in HD (video) on my system.... I give it a thumbs up - like Pyrrha!:

[Show spoiler]

Season one was great, two even better... so really high hopes for 3!
