Planet Terror had more of a grindhouse feel to it (a woman with an assault rifle-leg?)... I think Tarantino eventually forgot he was paying homage to grindhouse and just made a typical suspense picture with Deathproof.
Plus Planet Terror seemed to have more spots and tears in the film reel, giving more of an authentic feel to it. There were long stretches in Deathproof where the picture just looked normal and clear. |
