That title doesn't work for the back and the spine, because the brushed metal has grain that needs to run consistently across. To correct this, you'd need to substitute that with a black-on-black (with debossed filter) text. Using this font to re-create the text: http://www.fonts2u.com/alex-murphy-solid-regular.font

DOn't want to veer this thread off topic, but is there a thread that discusses printing paper?

I was wondering what's the best quality paper to use for printing out these blu ray covers? I don't know what to buy. I have a high quality photo printer, just not sure what paper to get.

Brochure paper. Low gloss or matte.

Seconded. I use brochure paper from HP and am pretty satisfied with the results.

Just because I'm making custom Criterion covers and you know I kind of HAVE to put an inner artwork on the other side.

I've never printed double-sided but yes, it has the same finish on both sides.

Yes. By design, most brochures would need to have the same surface on both sides. And I second the HP brand recommendation.

How do you guys like this for a Drive cover?

Wanted to replace my cover for the film and thought this would be a nice fit, especially with a black Blu-ray case to go along with it. Been thinking about making the title a shade of red though.

Looks awesome! You should definitely make the title red. It would look even more terrific.

Yes, the star is more prominent in the frame, and there's the blue and orange sky. But what is so iconic about the poster is the DeLorean door open with light pouring out and Marty McFly checking his watch with his sunglasses up. That's what's iconic. And Struzan didn't come up with it.

Wayne's got no hard feelings. And it's not just this one incident that irks me. It's representative of all the artists out there who came up with iconic poster designs, or designs for anything really, and lose credit to the finishing artist like Drew Struzan.

I see what you mean but it is the differences that matter. It's kind of like saying what's the difference between a $10 steak and a $30 steak. Sure, that original picture could have been used and would have looked fine but what Struzan did was take it to the next step and that is the creative aspect. The creativity is taking what he was given and thinking how can he make it better.
