I was just looking @ the same 2 release & noticed the cheap Inspired Studios release is listed as having 480p resolution & the Shout Factory release has 1080p.

So, probably Shout is the only decent choice. I have also been waiting for < $10 to upgrade my DVD. I saw New Inspired Studios BD for $4.49 on eBay including shipping. Probably junk.

$19.51 for Shout on Amazon.
