Default DC Entertainment

With the exception of Batman and Superman, DC needs to get off their butts and start putting out some films. Wonder Woman, ok, but is it really gonna knock the socks off anybody? They did a good job with Constantine, so heres a list of adaptions I think would translate well intofilms

1. Preacher- Vertigo line, weird and somewhat offensive but would be a blast to see this, Clive Owen, Sean Penn, Nicholas Cage

2. Sandman- Vertigo line, alot of characters, but with a focus on Death and Dream, Christina ricci, Scarlett Johanson(Sp?) as death, not sure about Dream

3. Flash-This may already be in the works

4. Swamp Thing -Know there was two before but reinvent this DC staple

5. Green Lantern_This might be hard to translate into film, but still would rock

6. Green Arrow- Were gettin down to the bottom of the barrel but something like Mike Grell's "The Longbow Hunters" mini-series would be cool.

Cant think of much more DC anyone else?

I'd love to see Flash (I watched the TV show religiously and still have the pilot on VHS). Green Lantern would be awesome, although I'd hope they'd use Hal Jordan.
I REALLY want to see a film version of Dark Knight Returns. Since Frank Miller's stuff is finally getting some nods in film, hopefully they'll actually consider it. R Rated Batman . . . mmmm. Maybe Bruce Willis as Bats? Paul Bettany as Joker, Ed Harris as Harvey Dent.

I would love Preacher also but its must be told in two parts and nothing should be left out and I think Clive Owen would nail this roll.

Green Lantern would also make a good one and also Green Arrow.

Aside from the Bruce Willis as Batman, that's a pretty damn good idea!!! Keep Christian Bale and I'd be happy with that.

I don't know why they're taking so long with The Flash and Wonder Woman. I'm really hoping to see The Flash be made.

As much as I love The Sandman, it's such a long series, a two hour movie wouldn't do it justice. Identity Crisis would be interesting to see on film.

In Dark Knight Returns, Batman is in his fifties or sixties and coming out of a ten year retirement. Christian Bale wouldn't work.

Default Would love to see....

Legion of Super-Heroes....even if it was an animated direct to DVD release...but in the style of "Far From Home" in the Justice League series, not in the style of the animated LSH series.

Is Lobo still being released? Been years since I even picked up a comic book, but this was one I got into for a while. A movie could be interesting.

They couldn't make Justice League so far so I don't how they would do Legion of Superheroes lol. But that would be super cool.

never got into dc comics. but i'd like to see the death of superman as a 2 or 3 movie series. cover the death ad return of superman. it would be really hard to pull off, but would be amazing.

I have always wanted to see this as well. But Bruce Willis? I always that Clint Eastwood would be the perfect Batman for this movie. He is probably to old for this now.

Bruce Willis would totally work with the way he looks now. Clint Eastwood would have worked, but I wouldn't have liked it. Clint Eastwood just can't be Batman.

And as far as other movies go, I'm not interested in any superhero properties from DC, only the Vertigo line. The other characters are just too fantastic for good movies to be made. They're not as grounded in reality as marvel movies are. Everyone's so overpowered with weak backstories. They would all end up 2 hours CG fests with stories on par with Fantastic Four (or worse).

Actually, I have heard they're in the works for a Preacher series on HBO.

I agree that Sandman should get made, but it's obvious that you shouldn't be put in charge of casting, as it's apparent that you don't have a clue what Death looks like.

Death is a thin waif of a woman, she doesn't have a huge chestal area and she certainly isn't blonde.

Compared to how much Warner blew on Speed Crapper it wouldn't be that hard at all, just load it up with CGI and call it a day.

Green Arrow is a good character if handled properly, I doubt Hollywood would be up to so delicate a task, it'd be like asking Darkseid to shoot the hair off the ass-end of a flea with his omega beams, sure, he'd do it, but he'd probably also take out the mountain behind the flea.

P.S.

Lobo? That third rate Wolverine ripoff? No thanks.
