Interesting.

This doesn't necessarily seem like my kind of movie off the bat, but I love the cast (Ansel Elgort was good in "Carrie" and who doesn't love Shailene?), and the trailer was good. Hmm.

I couldnt even make it through the trailer.
Just too many cliches and laughable moments.
Woodley did win me over in The Spectacular Now so I will Netflix this one but I really hope Idont see a lot of this trailer in the theaters in the coming months.

I know this story has been done before, but I still think this movie looks lovely. It's from the writers of (500) Days of Summer (one of my favorite films) and The Spectacular Now. Shailene Woodley is a really good young actress and Ansel Elgort was very charming in the Carrie remake. Looking forward to this one.

Obviously the Twitter Index doesn't always mean anything, BUT these huge of numbers are not often seen outside of big blockbusters. The book has a huge following.

Saw both movies and they're awesome. I'm thinking Woodley might be the new Jennifer Lawrence. If Divergent becomes a big hit she just might become an A lister.

I'm not yet sold on the casting of Gus, and the trailer seems pretty generic.

But TFiOS is Green's best book I've read so far, and I'm anticipating this.

I don't know. I think Ansel Elgort has something. He seems really likeable. I think the two will make a good coupling.

I'm still not sure she'll take off quite the same way as Lawrence. I'll be impressed if Divergent does 100 Million given how other young adult novels turned movies have done. Though Divergent seems to have a bit more going for it in terms of buzz than movies like Beautiful Creatures, The Host, and Mortal Instruments. I thought Woodley was great in Descendants and Spectacular Now though so she definitely has talent.

I follow the Green Brothers' projects on YouTube and love both of them a lot, but when John played a 10 second preview clip from this trailer on their vlogbrothers channel I couldn't help but cringe: so glurgey.

But maybe the movie itself is alright. I'm not familiar with the book since I don't read YA lit.

Just started reading the book and I'm digging it so far. I'll give this one a look when it hits theaters since I really liked Spectacular Now.

It's on the poster. There was some controversy over it from fans of the book and even Woodley herself last month when the studio revealed it.
