Really?? Fargo was produced by Polygram Filmed entertainment, with a theatrical release through Gramercy Pictures, the PolyGram films Catalog from 1994 to 1996 were acquired by MGM, the rest of the Polygram titles went to Universal.

in 1994 Orion Pictures went bankrupt after a long string of unsuccessful films that were mostly shot in 1991 & 1992 and held until 1994; Robocop 3, Clifford, Blue Sky, China Moon, Boxing Helena.

By 1996 Orion worked as the theatrical distributor only for the Artisan Entertainment (Now Lionsgate) films; Phat Beach, The Substitute & The Arrival, none were major hits, putting another nail into the coffin.

in 1997 Orion partnered with an independent label Rank Organization to produce some theatrical fair as City Of Industry, Gang Related, 8 Heads In A Duffle bag, and the greatest film of all time, that’s right I said it, Original Gangsters.

By 1998 only direct to cable Jim Belushi films like Retroactive was the only thing that Orion was able to cough up. Marking its death in the business. R.I.P. Orion.

So no, Orion did not have anything to do with Fargo, other than being absorbed by MGM, and MGM making some paperwork error.

Apology accepted graciously I didnt actually say they had anything to do with the film, I said they owned the trade name and whether they are a subsidary name of MGM or not, the TM was applied for under the name Orion Pictures That is perhaps why they had to put it on the credits? I could be wrong

I am NOT feeling that cover. You know what would have been a good cover? Just a pic of the woodchipper. Snow on the ground, tennis shoe slightly protruding from the top. No people in the shot at all.

That cover would be amazing. I also wouldn't mind a little blood on the snow...not much just enough to contrast against a white cover.
