This movie(and few others) was interesting in that it can be viewed in two different way, even if one figures out in the middle.

The first time, the audience are watching it through kind of Bruce Willis's point of view of what is happening. Then when you are confirmed about the truth(even if you figured out in the middle), you are watching it from the beginning through the point of view of the little kid. And can also note all the scenes that doesn't cheat and works in both views. So not that you appreciate it more(which it can), but more that it can be viewed and feel differently the second time you watch. Well, that's how I saw it...
