I'd be cool with Lord of Illusion (I'd be more cool with Rawhead Rex), but what would excite me more is if that confirmed it was a 6-movie deal with MGM

Hopefully if Shout Factory did another deal with MGM, there will be more ninja movies on the horizon.

And if they have another deal with MGM going, hopefully they'll be some older AIP horror films thrown in like the Count Yorga movies

Count Yorga is probably not happening, as the DVDs did not sell well.

Enter The Ninja would be awesome! As far as Barker's other movie, I would like to see LoI. I didn't care too much for Rawhead Rex.

I would personally want Rawhead Rex. But Lord of Illusions wouldn't be bad either. Maybe Transmutations? That'd be a fun little pick up.

Depending on what "my film" truly means to Clive, It could be any number of things, even Candyman II. I wouldn't that one, I like it. In fact I like almost all of the film adaptions of Clive Barker's work. So, I'll probably be pleased regardless... but if I could pick, I'd want Rawhead Rex. It's been MIA for way too long, and I wan't to throw away my bootleg.

I would think that the six film deal is Fox.

Not to say that they don't also have a new deal with MGM...

I think they said "Start Off" because it would have been morning in LA (Pacific Time) at the time of that update.

Start off implies something coming later.

The Fox deal was announced before the six film deal was even mentioned. They said they still had to sign the deal.

Then I guess it could be MGM. I just feel like they would have gotten more? The last MGM deal was gigantic. I suppose that doesn't really mean anything going forward with more acquisitions from them.

Which titles were most requested from MGM? Motel Hell was the biggest one I recall EVERYONE clamoring for on social media.

Since no one has mentioned Hellraiser, I would assume Image still has the rights?

For MGM, I would imagine they'd go for:
Dolls
Howling II (assuming they have reconsidered)
Leviathan
Lord of Illusions
Motel Hell
Pumpkinhead (if TT doesn't have it)

And that's not counting the possible Price titles.

Yeah, they control the Home Video rights to all of the Lakeshore catalog, unfortunately. We'll very likely never get quality editions of most if not all of those films.

That being said, Hellraiser has an excellent edition from Anchor Bay on blu-ray already. Its damn near perfect as far as I'm concerned. And even though its OOP, it can be had for almost nothing on Amazon.

That was a long time ago..basing DVD sales in todays social networking environment, I think it would do better as a blu ray because we have the forums, Facebook, Twitter and places where we can inform more fans of these films and there are probably new fans of these films. Basing sales 10 years ago to me isnt the best way to project sales today..at least I dont think so
