Yeah, I think that would be ideal, and an easier sell too.

I saw a list (speculative IMO) on one of the Disney wikis suggesting 101 in spring 2015, Aladdin in fall 2015, and Pinocchio in spring 2016. That gives a little more time to schedule multi-drop days for the package films, TBC, Hercules & Tarzan.

I hate to sound naive but you guys make it sound like 'Song of the South' is not a kid's kinda movie. What's so bad about it if you don't mind me asking?

PS: I'm looking forward to Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves to hit, but we probably won't get those until we get Aladdin and that's taking it's sweet time. Maybe the UK will get them soon.

It is a shame, it does have historical value - but I shu' nuff can't see no way 'round it.
And....he turned out to be one of those dopes who still think Remus was a "slave".
I can take OTHER clueless Disney pop-misinterpretations, but we've lived for more than 12 Years with that one...
(The time period is never mentioned, not once, but it's been privately said to be postwar Sharecropper Reconstruction, which would account for how Remus could take all that flak for not working so much.)

At this point, he thinks it's "idealism" not to release the disk, and publicly jokes about the fans hounding him about it at the stockholders' meetings.
But since he announced his retirement for '15, South fans have kept the "Iger Retirement-watch", as he seems to be one of the only few white people at the company that still keep that dopey urban legend going.

I don't think Remus himself is the problem; I understand it's the live-action sequences based on the old Southern "Dunning school" view of Reconstruction, which modern-day historians totally reject under the assumption (IMO not correct, though there is some truth to it) that it was just a cover for the Jim Crow era which followed.

Nothing, really--The biggest complaint is that despite the character promotion, it's a mostly live-action movie with some animated scenes, although nowhere near the atmospheric snorefest that "So Dear To My Heart" previously was.

The beef among those disingenuously looking for beefs is that James Baskett chuckles a little too much as Remus, which creeps out those out to look for Uncle Ben "Happy slave" images around every corner--We also see nice sanitized 40's images of supposed sharecroppers singing spirituals, at which point, those who want to believe what they think they believe have all the "evidence" they need.
(Or at least, Clarence Muse did when he ran crying to the NAACP after a falling-out with the studio: The organization originally found "no fault" with the movie when it came out, since Remus was such a positive role model to the boy character, but did a sudden turnaround after they started singling out Hattie McDaniel as scapegoat symbol of un-PC black domestic roles to fight against.)

I take it by "bundled together" you mean packaged in one unit for retail, right? If that's the case, I understand SA/TTC and MMM/F&FF/MT completely, but I&T/TBC?? If anything, the bundling could be broken further into simply MMM/F&FF and MT/I&T, with TBC standalone.

Disney would run double bills at my local theater when I was a kid and I had to sit through "Song of the South" on a few of them - I really didn't like that film, except for the song "zippy doo da" it was quite a bore, as was "The Incredible Journey"

I did like "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" "That Darn Cat" and "Charley and the Angel" though

I'd love to see a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids/Honey, I Blew up the Kid bundle!

The whole waiting for Aladdin thing drives me crazy. I can't believe Sleeping Beauty is getting yet another U.S. release before Aladdin arrives for the first time. Hopefully it happens sooner rather than later. I'm also hoping for A Goofy Movie to get a release really soon.

Do you think there's any chance we'll get more extras on Hercules than the UK did, or should I go ahead and import it? It might be my favorite Disney movie.

I would recommend looking at the kind of extras the top tier titles have had produced for them in the past few years (not very impressive), then the kind of extras the lower tier titles have had produced for them (practically nonexistant, this is where Hercules will fall, alongside stuff like Mulan, Lilo, Groove), and order the Euro Blu-ray (I see no reason not to do the same for Aladdin, Dalmatians and Tarzan, if there's an interest). I'm just finishing my second watch of it, which is my second time seeing this movie. The Blu looks great and I think it's a movie that will grow on me the more I watch it.

I think the most likely thing you'll be missing out on vs the eventual domestic release is a slipcover and wacky 2 Movie Collection art and Zero to Hero, if they go that route, a Digital Copy and DVD.

Goofy Movie definitely deserves a blu release, yet I have a feelin it'll be released as 2 movie collection, which I wouldn't mind since I enjoyed Extremely Goofy Movie

I can see Saludos Amegios being paired with 3 Caballeros while Ichabod/Mr Toad and Fun/Fancy Free would be released on their own

Have a funny feelin that the aforementioned movies would possibly have Digital Copies

No. The extras the UK got are the exact same extras we got when Hercules was released on DVD here.

Just remembered 2 other classics, Honny I Shrunk/Blew Up The Kid,

Almost forgot bout it til I saw a preview of it on an old Vhs that I watched while on vacation, rather have Honey I Shrunk/Blew Up in a 2 Movie pack while We Shrunk Ourselves is released but most likely we'll get a 3 movie set *rolls eyes*

If we did receive a 2 movie collection of the Honey flims, I'd like to see a behind the scenes feature, Deleted Concept/Scenes and Audio Commentary for both films and (regrettably) toss in 2 episodes of Honey I Shrunk The TV Series

Disney's been hinting at Pollyanna getting released too. First, it was supposed to be end of last year, but that came and went. I believe I read somewhere (either on this forum or another) by a member who worked on the restoration of Mary Poppins, that the work on Pollyanna was already completed and ready to go a while ago, so what's the hold up?
