the movie is one of the greatest italian pop movie ever!! (along with Diabolik by Mario Bava, for example).
The story is taken from a short novel by the great Robert Scheckley, a master of science-fiction.
So, how does it compare to the US release by Blue Undeground? does it have the same extras?
BU has : "Marcello: A Sweet Life" documentary (480i, 98:15)
while Shameless has: Interview with Newmann and Paole Petri

I'm looking at adding this to my collection but can't decide between the Shameless and Blue Underground.

If the Shameless trailer is anything to go by, looks like the picture has a digital look to it like their Cannibal Holocaust disc which looked terrible.

Both come from the same dated LVR master that suffers from scanner noise.
I'd wait for a better version if I were you.

I bought this on a blind buy. I was happy with the picture quality on it. Was surprised how tame it was, I was expecting something a lot more violent. A look on the BBFC website shows that it's certificate is actually a '12'. Presumably the 18 on the Shameless release comes from one of the trailers included. Good film though.

I have the French release from this new master - it looks fantastic and was restored by Fidelity In Motion - I had to mux subtitles and English dub from other releases to create my own Frankenstein BD-R.

In Arrow's hint towards what was coming up this year - there was a "TV" clue around September 2022 - and I think this may be "Tenth Victim"

I contributed the stills/posters to the Blue Underground edition. One of my all-time favorite films! I'd love to do a commentary track someday. Did anyone pick up the limited-edition Italian release? I really want to find it, the book looks beautiful.

Can you get away with the French release with added English subtitles? I think it has two Italian audio tracks.

I know a few few from the era were more or less all dubbed, is this similar?

Yes you can and that’s what I did. But the ready release (encoded by FiM I believe) and added the English audio and subs

Meanwhile, Kino Lorber bringing out this in USA using the 2015 Shameless master so I’d assume it looks better than Shameless had it encoded. Maybe Shameless will remaster it and bring it out again.
